Dr. Kevin Lawrence Kovitz, MD

I saw Dr. Kovitz for three different visits to determine why I have difficulty breathing. Without consulting my lab work, xrays or several other examinations performed by Alexian Bros Hospital, Dr Kovitz stated that I needed to lose 20 pounds and everything would be fine. Save your time and money and see someone ELSE!

Dr. Kovitz was caring for my Mother due to some suspicious areas in her lungs. She maintained her 3 month visits, then 6 months. Dr. Kovitz reassured her and the family that this was nothing serious. What he NEVER told us was the results from a PET scan, 18 months after that body scan Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon cancer. Dr. Kovitz NEVER told her the repot indicated a MASS IN THE SIGMOID COLON. After the diagnosis the oncologist asked for prior test reports and there it was in black and white. When I called Dr. Kovitz and confronted him, his answer was, I'M NOT THAT KIND OF A DOCTOR. I said I know, but as a medical professional isn't it YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to tell your patients test results. Dr. Kovitz reply, I GUESS I MADE A BAD CALL. YES, he did. AS MY MOTHER DIED 3 YEARS LATER DUE TO HIS LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY TO TELL HER OF THE MASS IN HER COLON. SO beware of his honesty on test results. I lost my Mother and best friend because of Dr. Kovitz.

I founds Dr Kovitz to be an excellent doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
