Dr. Kevin Michael Kurey, MD

Dr. Kurey has been my Primary Care Provider for 20 years. I always thought highly of him amd I would recommend him to everyone. But in the recent past is practice and bed side manner has went to the wayside. I started experiencing some medical issues and I was at a loss of what was causing it. I went in for a physical to see what was going on and while I was explaining what had been going on he proceeded to raise his voice and begin to tell me he thought I needed xanax and he referred me to a psychiatrist. Mind you I have never been on any medication in my life, nor have I ever needed a psychiatrist. Two days later his office calls me and informs me that everything came back good with my blood except my thyroid level (TSH). But his nurse said Dr. Kurey said it wasn't that high and I could come back a month later and do another blood panel to see how I was doing. I immediately begin to research symptoms of hypothyroidism and realized that almost every symptom was my complaint. I then… took it upon myself to get my records from his office to compare them to my previous physical and I realized that my TSH was 4.5 the last time and it was a 5.9 TSH currently. After finding this out I decided I wasn't waiting a month feeling the way I felt, so I scheduled an appointment with Eagles Landing Family Practice Endocrinologist and he begin to help me get to the bottom of it. He told me every symptom I had was very common with hypothyroidism and I could change my diet and try some medication. I do not take xanax and I have not spoke to a psychiatrist and I feel much better. It is sad that after meeting a doctor for the first time he listened to me and was willing to help me and Dr. Kurey after 20 years wasn't willing to do that. I think it is time for him to hang it up, I was in the emergency medical field for 10 years and I never spoke to a patient in the manner Dr. Kurey spoke to me that day. On side note his office manager is very rude and she to needs to reconsider her profession. If you can see the Nurse Practitioner Brittany you will be pleased, she will listen and she genuinely cares about her patients.

I've been a patient of Dr Kurey for 10+ years, he has always been a good Dr. I had an appointment scheduled today and was told when I got there I couldn't be seen due to no insurance! I recently changed job and couldn't be seen by my physician of 10+ years because I didn't have insurance! They said they couldn't see cash customers due to their malpractice insurance, and told me I was welcome to come back when I had insurance! I'll be finding a new Dr, I was only there for a semi annual office visit for blood pressure medication refills!

I see Rachel as my NP and she listens to your problems and responds to all. She is caring, diagnosis is right on every time and this is why Dr. Kurey keeps her on staff. I never wait more than 10 minutes to be seen and the nurses are terrific. This is the place if you want a real family doctor.

I can't believe anyone would not be crazy about these two. I have seen them both but usually see Rachel. She is smart and kind and makes you feel special. I would recommend her and him to anyone.

My ratings are for Rachael, not the office itself. The office staff is nice, but Rachael is HORRIBLE as everyone else has stated. She is extremely rude, does not care about patients and she is VERY unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend her to a dog! I would not be left in her care at all, and would not recommend her to anyone for anything!

I have gone to this office for years. I have finally switched doctors. Rachel is horrible, condescending and rude. She does not seem to care about the patient at all. Every time I have been there she seems in a hurry to get out and chat with the rest of the staff. Rachel will not refill prescriptions in a timely manner or at all.

I've been going to Dr. Kurey for over 10 years. I can't imagine going any where else. Once when my son was sick, very sick, I took him to Dr. Kurey because I didn't want my poor son sitting in his doctor's office for 3 to 4 hours. Dr. Kurey saw my son within an hour, called in the prescription and we were back home in half the time if I taken him to his regular doctor. Dr. Kurey removed several warts on my son's hand and arm, after the procedure was over he let him throw the dry ice on the floor. This thrilled my son to death and he NEVER is scared when I say we'll have to go see Dr. Kurey. I always see Rachel, love her. I would and have recommended Dr. Kurey and Rachel to everyone I know. They are AWESOME!!!

This office is great, if you are not really sick, you don't act as your own health advocate, you don't question the P.A. If you are an individual with minor illnesses, you will probably do fine. Short wait times, Easy to get appointments. Just don't expect in depth care. And by all means, if you leave there feeling as though you weren't heard and questioning the treatment.... get a second opinion. Seems I'm not the only one Rachel has caused unnecessary serious medical issues.

Dr. Kurey is great. I did not have a good doc when I first came. A friend suggested him, and I have been with Dr. Kurey for about 9 years now.
