Dr. Kevin Lin, MD

HOAG's Urologic Oncology physician, Jeff Bassett, referred me to Kevin Lin when my PSA began showing an upward trajectory and I needed radiation therapy. All of my interactions with Dr. Lin and with EVERY SINGLE MEMBER of his Team was amazing! The Front Desk team helping set appointments were fun to interact with and were on top of there game. The Rad Tech's were all very personable and efficient and the Nurses were all very helpful. Everyone demonstrated a high level of professionalism and kindness toward me, which helped me feel comfortable and to get through the 35 consecutive treatments feeling great. Everyone made me feel confident that they know their job(s) very well and that I was in good hands. Regarding Dr. Lin specifically, I could not be happier with his knowledge of my case and with his willingness to answer all my questions and to make himself available to me if I had any reason to call him in-between our weekly check-in appointments. My PSA is now way down. Yea!

Dr. Lin oversaw my 6 weeks of 30 radiation treatments. He brings compassion and deft, proactive care. He's like if Mr. Rogers had more energy and was a world-class oncology radiation subject matter expert. One example: I bumped into him in the treatment center hallway. "Dr. Lin! Hi! I had a question, left you a message and heard you had a board meeting today. It can wait until our next appointment -- since you don't have my records with you in the hallway." Dr. Lin said, "Hi Cynthia! I know your case. I'm here. You're here. What's your question?" He stopped to give me his time and attention -- with a smile -- to address my general questions about the equipment and very specific reasons why he adjusted my treatments to maximize my wellness. He was consistently thorough in each of our appointments from start to finish. I was surprised and delighted with his knowledge and thoughtfulness.

Dr. Lin is an exceptional physician. He is professional, caring and takes the time with his patients to ensure that they understand the results of their testing and condition.

Dr. Lin is simply terrific. He is both knowledgeable and courteous; he patiently answered my many questions and concerns, and during the course of my radiation treatments, took the time to get to know me better so that I felt more like a human being and not just another clinical case. In battling cancer, I realize that this level of care goes a long way in making a difficult situation easier. I normally would prefer a female doctor to treat something as personal as breast cancer, but Dr. Lin put me fully at ease. I would not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone facing cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Lin is extremely knowledgeable and empathetic. I am grateful he was my Radiologist for my breast cancer. He and his staff handled my case with expertise and kindness. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Lin was kind & compassionate. He took time to listen and address all the concerns I had prior and during the treatment. He is thorough and most caring. He even call me in the weekend to checkup on my progress. In addition, Hoag Cancer Center in Irvine is new and tranquil. All the staffs in the facility were helpful and courteous.

Dr. Lin has a great calming approach and showed great empathy regarding my radiation treatment for breast cancer. He was very proactive in my healthcare and my road to recovery. His staff is top notch.

He has made my journey with Prostate Cancer an easy and successful experience. His demeanor and knowledge keep you calm when facing this type of diagnosis. Great communicator and physician. Explains and takes the time to answer questions. Never talks over our heads and makes sure we are comfortable with the plan of treatment before we leave.
