Dr. Kevin Antonio Lopez Shirley, MD

For his sake, I hope this doctor is the most brilliant physician in his field... That's what it would take to endure his terribly unlikeable persona. He is defiant, combative, self important ,and someone you want to avoid. Was witness to him taking down a nurse or cna in a lengthy, loud rant within ear shot of patients and visitors at Novant hospital. Classy brat.

I had an over the phone consult with him and it was the worst Doctor experience I've ever had. I needed an antibiotic for sinusitis and he gave me a hard time about why I needed it and made me feel very belittled and like I wasn't worth his time. I was very dissatisfied with his overall attitude and would not recommend him. If you want a doctor who actually wants to help you feel better and not worse, look elsewhere.

No bedside manner. Doesn't care about his patients, no compassion! Has a god complex. Find another doctor.

Very rude and patronizing. Changed specialized meds without consulting the specialist. This resulted in problems which led to additional doctors visits.

Rude, condescending, know-it-all. Prescribes medications to treat symptoms rather than seek the underlying cause.

This is a great doctor. Most people who rate him poorly are people the have been give medication for most of their life and don't need it like pain killers. We need more doctors in Albemarle like Dr. Shirley and less doctors that just want to get you hooked on pain killers.
