Dr. Kevin G Mcgeagh, MD

This was my first visit with Dr. McGeagh for prostate biopsy. Very approachable doctor. Explained step-by-step procedure. Even called in a colleague for 2nd opinion on my unusual circumstances.

Dr. Mcgeagh is personable and asked good questions. He gave me the opportunity to explain my condition and he listened well to me.

It was my first time meeting Dr. Mcgeagh and I found him to be congenial, attentive, and addressed my concerns. He does give you time to ask questions and he explains his responses. He seems to be thorough, provides forms for tests or screening and will follow up.

My visit with Doctor Mcgeagh went as smooth and professional as it could. He explained each step of my procedure and what feeling I should expect from each. The other members of his staff were exceptional as well. I am very glad that I was referred to him for my biopsy procedure.

A great relief to find that there was nothing remarkable found during the cystoscopy and ultrasound tests. The test were fairly quick and the results wonderful. A little more care would have been helpful getting ready for the procedure. It felt a little rushed and impersonal for a potentially nerve wracking moment. The nitrous oxide for the pain was not covered by insurance- I’m glad that it was available even though it was100 dollars out of pocket. I had to go to the first floor office for the antibiotic, then hike all around the building to find an elevator that worked, to go to the second floor sonogram. Them hike the building again on a very full bladder, back downstairs for cystoscopy. Instead of allowing me to finally relieve my bladder from the extra fluids needed for the sonogram, the nurse insisted first on trying to take my blood pressure. I finally took the cuff off, and said no- I will find the rest room first before I burst. I came back to a very… impersonal reception from the tech that had to prep me. Hard to get a kind word in order to relax or ask all the questions that were on my mind. I had to ask to have the bed raised and lowered - so I could get in and out. She had to come back as she almost walked out and left me to get dressed, but I was in the air with my legs apart and had no way to extract myself or climb back down. I’m 73 and had no desire to break a leg or wrist. I was also very dizzy from the nitrous oxide - probably should not have gotten right up. But the tech didn’t seem to want to be bothered. The Dr on the other hand, was efficient and had good news on both treats. I was thrilled and glad it was over. I would say that the Dr could have used a more caring support staff.

Wow , a wonderful team!! Dr Macgeagh was very professional, friendly and reassuring me before the test. Everything went well. I appreciated his calm and professionalism also the nurse assisting him

Dr Kevin McGeagh in my opinion (I am a retired cardiologist with MUCH experience dealing with doctors) is an excellent physician. He is thorough, courteous, answers questions well and gives a patient TIME to ask their questions. I would recommend Dr McGeagh to anyone seeking a urologist.

Dr McGeagh was willing to work me in to his schedule quickly when I was in pain. He was kind, provided a Rx and good advice. Very professional. I would not hesitate to call on him or AA Urology again.
