I have had 3 surgeries done by Dr. O'Donnell. 2 mastectomies and my gallbladder. I am considered morbidly obese yet he removed my gallbladder lapriscopally (sp). I was back to work in less than one week. He knew I did desk work and so I did return to work. I first met him for my left mastectomy in 1987. What an excellent job! Can't say enough good things about him!!!

I had a simple hernia surgery and after Dr.O'Donnell operated on me I was left with numbness and no feeling in the umbilical area. He brushed me off and said the numbness would go away.....6 years later I still have no feeling in the area surrounding the belly button. It took me three weeks to heal after this surgery due to infections and pain. He does not have a good bedside manner, acts as though he knows everything , doesn't take time to explain things. I would never recommend this surgeon. He should not be operating on anyone.

Dr O' Donnell operated on me last May. I had a hernia surgery. Since the day one after the surgery I have had a pain in the area where he operated. I thought it was a new surgery the pain would go away as time would go by. I saw Dr O' Donnell on the post surgery follow up appointment , mentioned about the pain in the surgery area, he said it was nothing it would go away. He didn't even spend more than three minutes on me. He was very unfriendly, very uncaring. After four to five months I still have the pain.I saw Dr O' Donnell again, he looked at the scar, said every thing looked fine. I mentioned about the pain and he said I have to go back to my physician. This time he spent five minutes on me. As if my physician was the one who operated on me. Till today I still have that pain. I have to go see another doctor now.I would never recommend Dr O' Donnell to any other patient. He does not have any people's skills,he is neither caring , nor friendly at all ,plus he is a bad surgeon. He… treats his patients like objects not humans. I made the biggest mistake to have him as my surgeon.

Dr. O'Donnell performed an excision on a family member. From the immediatel post-operative experience and subsequently, the patient has experienced pain in relation to the surgical procedure.There was no information given to the patient about pre-operative concerns and preparation and post-operative care and problems. The patient had to get post-operative care instructions from a family friend familiar with the procedure that Dr. O'Donnell performed. It has been four months since the procedure and the patient still experiences pain and is seeking treatment for this pain.The patient did mention the lack of instructions and asked what occurred during the procedure to cause the level of post-operative pain to Dr. O'Donnell. Dr. O'Donnell would not discuss this or admit to any procedural problems. If the patient knew what occurred, the patient could receive treatment for the pain that would target the injury incurred during the surgery. As it stands, the patient is grasping at straws to… try to get help in alleviating post-operative pain.Dr. O'Donnell is a surgeon and interested solely in surgery. He forgets that he is performing surgery on people and he is smug and will not admit to a mistake. I would not recommend him to anyone - not even his own family!
