Dr. Kevin Joseph Oshea, MD

I was checking to see if Dr O'Shea was still working at Orthopedics of Augusta as my husband is having shoulder problems and I'd like him to see Dr O'Shea. I was surprised and disappointed to see some negative reviews for him. I have nothing but positive things to say from a foot surgery and a shoulder. I'd had a podiatrist do bunion surgery and a toe joint but he messed my foot up so badly! Every step I took I was in pain & was told by that podiatrist "there are some things you just have to learn to live with" I went to Dr O'Shea for a 2nd opinion and he saved the day. I no longer walk in pain. For my shoulder he worked on the rotator cuff & he again was professional and did a good job. If you want a doctor to chit chat hold your hand and baby you then he may not your guy but if you'd like a doctor who is experienced, intelligent, competent and very professional in his demeanor then definitely consider using Dr O'Shea. We'll be calling him for my husband tomorrow.

Overall Dr. OShea did a good job on my heel. I will admit at the beginning I knew he was a good doctor, but ddi take things for granted. Just after the operation, my incision became infected. At this time I became one of his high priorities. He wanted to take the metal plates out, but I said NO. Through his monitoring and using Universities Wound Care, 6 week later the infection was gone. At my final visit Dr. OShea said that I am at the best it would be, fortunately I did get better, not perfect and still some pain but better.

Its annoying to read some of the negative reviews. Dr Oshea is an experienced surgeon who is on the top of his profession. I am thankful he was availible to me because most people have no idea the importance of the quality of a surgeons work. Sounds like the folks above need a social worker not a surgeon. When i get my car fixed its important that the guy has yrs of experience fixing my car. DR OSHEA fixed my ankle and thank god he did.

I was disappointed in the follow up care that I received after my surgery. It seems that when the case is difficult or is taking longer than he feels it should to be resolved he is no longer interested!! He and his staff are rude and think they are the only option for medical care. There are too many excellent choices for medical care to tolerate someone like this.

I like Dr. O'Shea, he is very professional, listens to you when you speak, is an excellent surgeon and I would recommend him highly.

As a new patient being referred to see Dr O'Shea immediately because I was in an accident, no concern was shown I was scheduled 2 1/2 weeks out.I told the lady on phone I needed something sooner because of the pain & I'll have to find another Dr if they don't have anything sooner & the lady told me oh well. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL & VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Dr. O'Shea has done foot surgery for torn tendons and liagament on me,and has now done total replacement knee surgery. He is an excellent physician and always takes time to answer my questions. Very gentle and professional doctor.

Dr. O'Shea replaced both of my knees and I recovered quickly from both of them,would recommend him to anyone needing knee surgery,his nurse Michele is wonderful also.
