Dr. Kevin Park, MD

He disregarded my most concerning symptoms, and I ended up in the ER in the middle of the night. That could have been avoided.

He was pretty rushed and didn't want to talk about the potential causes of my condition. He was too eager to write a prescription. I did not fill the prescription he gave me due to the health risks of that drug. Instead, I found a much more thorough doctor who did lab tests and consulted with specialists before establishing a comprehensive program to improve my condition without taking the dangerous drugs Dr. Park prescribed for me. If you're just looking for a magic pill, Dr. Park might be just your style. I want to be healthy while minimizing the risks of taking prescription drugs, so he's not a good fit for me. I'm not saying he did nothing. He prescribed a drug. However, I feel that by doing that he placed me at risk of the side effects which were significant. I feel he failed to take the time and make the effort to do what was in my longterm best interests.

okay but not great

Took my aunt to see him when I was visiting her. He kept talking down to her as though she was a child and talking to me as though she couldn't hear us. Just because someone is older and hard of hearing, you don't have to treat them like they can't think or make their own decisions. I asked my brother and his wife who live closer to look into finding a younger, more current physician who will treat her with more respect. He did address her health concern, but he did it through me rather than taking the time to communicate with her and let her make the decisions. She's mentally sharp, so there was no reason for him to ask me to make her medical decisions for her.

Went for a simple problem. Had the typical doctor office wait. After the wait, the guy came in, asked a question or two, looked at a couple of things, and wrote a prescription. Nothing complicated or mysterious. Not much else to say about it.

He gives standard advice without considering anything other than the obvious. He's okay for refilling prescriptions and treating straightforward medical conditions. For more complex situations or persistent problems that may represent misdiagnosed or undiagnosed conditions, he wouldn't be my first choice. I ended up getting a second opinion that uncovered what was really going on with my health. If you're healthy and just doing your annual physical or have only occasional, minor health issues, he's probably fine for you. The office staff is fine.

Unfortunately, Dr. Park appears to rely on out-of-date information and was not familiar with current studies about my condition. When I attempted to discuss current studies, he was dismissive and even defensive. He didn't show any curiosity about the major developments he was apparently in the dark about, even though the studies have been duplicated and are not brand new. While many people may trust him due to his confidence and manner, I feel that every patient deserves a doctor who at least attempts to keep up with evolving medical standards. One has to wonder whether he takes his continuing professional education seriously or whether he's resting on his laurels and coasting to retirement.

Has been more than a Doctor, he's more like family. I would highly recommend this Doctor to anyone. He listens , cared , and takes the time to care about his patients
