Dr. Kevin T Slaughter

He's in the wrong profession, he may be skilled at something but health care isn't it. He shouldn't be allowed around living beings.

I demand that this man have his license removed! He is the most judgemental and unhelpful doctor I have ever encountered!

In the triage he touched me with two fingers, I waited 7 hours, never saw him, when I decided to leave the lady gave me paperwork and said here's your prescriptions - one for pain and an antibiotic and asked, what for?....I was never diagnosed..... Dr. Slaughter ran over there and said.... don't give those to her.... so they weren't even mine! Now he wants to charge me $1,263.00 for not being seen!

Get doc. Easy to understand, personally explained what's happening, courteous and polite. Had a Great experience with him in ER. Excellent out come.

Was seen by Dr Slaughter in a emergency room in Pahrump. I suffered a back injury 5 months ago and have been going through a progression of treatments by a back surgeon. I was getting to the point where back surgury was to be impemented but workors comp took my case over. They sent me to a doctor that said he could do nothing for me and referred me to a workers comp back surgeon. I have been waiting for two weeks for this appointment and still have no date. My treatment of epidurals weekly torodol injections scripts for muscle relaxers and percocet came to a grinding halt. I am in agonizing unbeleivable pain. I had not slept in two days because of the pain. My surgeon and the last doctor I saw would not treat me stating they are no longer my physician, my personal doctor said he could not treat me because it is a workers comp case. I was directed by my attorney to go to an emergency room. I explained this to Dr Slaughter. Dr Slaughter proceeded to tell me that a doctor cannot just… drop me that there is a two week window and he must mail me a letter etc etc. Then he told me about all the places he had been Medical Director and of the Medical Boards he was appointed to. Huh? He then told me maybe it was time I stared cutting down on the pain meds. Huh? I am awaiting back surgury, cought inbetween doctors by a system that does not inherently have the patients interests placed first. I am in the worst pain I have ever experienced. Dr Slaughter then leaves and sends a nurse in to tell me that I need to see my regular doctor. Huh? Was Slaughter not listening? He never examined me or asked questions you would expect. I was being blown off. My husband who is a police officer of 17 years was with me. He could not beleive it. He said Slaughter had obviously dedided I was a pill chaser without even examining me. Slaughter did not even have the professionalism to tell me what he was doing or not doing and why. He just used the time aa a platform to talk about himself. My husband drove me to Las Vegas where I was seen in an emergency room I had been 911d to by Concentra doctors for my back four months ago. They immediately stabelized the pain ran tests to make sure the pain was not being caused by another source and shot immages of my injured back. The doctor stated he was amazed I was able to move at all He found that there was additional noticeable degeneration occuring to the left side of my back opposite the initial injury. He said adding to aggrevation was the fact that all treatments had been stopped. According to Dr Slaughter it was time for me to start cutting back.
