â€œHelping people resume a more active lifestyle is the most rewarding and satisfying aspect of my work.â€ In 2001, Dr. Sullivan started The Boston Spine Group's Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation division of the practice. Having been part of The Boston Spine Group for many years, Dr. Sullivan joined Orthopedics New England in 2015. Dr. Sullivan received his medical degree from New York Medical College. For two years prior to entering medical school, he played professional hockey in the San Jose Sharks organization. He completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the Harvard Medical School Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He completed his training with a fellowship in musculoskeletal and pain medicine at the Georgia Pain Physicians. Dr. Sullivan focuses on physical medicine and rehabilitation in the treatment of spine and musculoskeletal conditions. He utilizes interventional spine treatments including epidural injection, facet joint …injection, sacroiliac joint injection, peripheral joint injection (hip, shoulder, and knee), discography, and radiofrequency ablation to diagnose and treat a multitude of conditions. He is a frequent chairman and faculty member for North American Spine Society instructional spinal injection workshops. Dr. Sullivan has presented at national meetings and has contributed to several chapters and publications. Dr. Sullivan is the Chief of the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at MetroWest Medical Center. Dr. Sullivan is board certified in both physical medicine and rehabilitation, and pain medicine.

Dealing with back pain and herniated discs can be incredibly stressful, but Dr. Kevin Sullivan made the process manageable. He is an excellent listener who takes a conservative approach to orthopedics. I felt very supported and well informed throughout my treatment. Excellent care all around.

Dr. Sullivan was very patient and professional. He explained everything step by step. I had good results on my back with the injections.

After receiving no help with excruciating pain from 2 doctors, my wonderful chiropractor Dr. Hausmann suggested I ask for a referral to an orthopedic specialist. It was my lucky day when I got an appointment with Dr. Sullivan. He treated me with extreme compassion. And most importantly, he gave me hope. I am forever grateful.

If you are looking for answers, and don’t just want spinal shots to shut you up, don’t see Dr. Sullivan. He would not listen and with his arrogance it was a frustrating appointment. I tried to explain what I was feeling but he just talked over me. Yes, I am an older woman but I am no dummie! I am a retired teacher with a long, positive career. I did not appreciate his attitude. Don’t waste your time seeing him!

Dr Sullivan could not diagnose my injury but still treated me with what he thought, he was arrogant and made me feel stupid . Basically was insinuating my injury was not real!

Dr. Sullivan has been treating and working with me on spinal issues for 5 years. I find him to be compassionate, smart, and an excellent communicator. I would highly recommend him to anyone with orthopedic issues.

Not only is he professional but warm, caring and extremely experienced. He controlled my neck pain due to wear/tear and arthritis by injecting me with cortisone but I only needed a shot once a year. So I definitely recommend Dr. Sullivan to anyone searching for a reputable Orthopedic Doctor. Now with the sad news, I have to leave Dr. Sullivan and seek out a new Dr. because I have moved out of the area and that saddens me. If I didn't live so far away, I would definitely travel.

I had a lower lumbar spine injection preformed by Dr. Sullivan and the experience was amazing! Dr. Sullivan talked to me though the injection and made me feel calm the whole time. After the injection Dr. Sullivan walked me personally to the recovery room and check in on me before I was discharge. With this experience Dr. Sullivan is the ONLY doctor I will use for all future spinal related issues. I my opinion Dr. Sullivan is a Great Doctor!

This was the best thing I did was to see dr. Sullivan. There was a very short wait and he explained all of my options very clearly and answered all questions. I received a shot and now I am able to do things I couldn't do before. I have had long term back problems for years. Who new one shot would change everything in 2 days. All this without surgery as the rest said I would have to do! Thanks for a great experience and I would definately go back again.
