I was referred to Dr. Tymitz by my gastro doctor for a possible hiatal hernia repair. Best decision I ever made! For the first time in years I am not walking around with a bottle of Tums. Dr. Tymitz took a great amount of time with me explaining exactly what his plan would be and what my part in my recovery would be. I had the repair done 4 weeks ago and it has been life changing. For the first time in years I am not miserable. Dr. Tymitz is kind, knowledgeable, thorough and made me feel important in each step of the process. I highly recommend him! His staff is very helpful as well.

Avoid like the plague. Worst consultant I have ever been to.

Dr. Tymitz was a referral from my PCP to perform surgery on an area prone to abscesses. It was the worst experience I've ever had. I was told it would be a "minor" surgery, quick recovery- however, it was the surgery that never stopped giving with the amount of post-surgery issues I had. There was no warning to the risks - in fact, I was told there were barely any. However, my stitches opened up (TWICE), and then the area became swollen, infected. I had an open wound for close to 2 months. Eventually, I had to see another doctor who was a Godsend that truly helped by prescribing medication/ointment that helped my incision heal. He also stated that I should not have been recommended this surgery, given the high movement area. In fact, I have ended up getting abscesses more now at the same spot, defeating the purpose of the surgery and all of the pain I went thru. Please - please do yourself a favor and find a different surgeon. Read the reviews - I wish I had!

One year ago Dr. Tymitz did a hiatal hernia repair on me. By far the best Dr. He certainly cares about the patient. He literally gave me my life back. Thank you so much Dr. Tymitz

I am still dealing with issues months after surgery

Dr. Timitz is one of the best doctors I have had the pleasure of knowing. He always, always treat me like a human being and not as a patient. He never rushes through the visit, giving you his personal attention. I just love him to pieces. Thanks Dr. Timitz. You have a patient for life.

Dr Tymitz is very smart and full of knowledge. he makes me feel confident in my decision. i decided to under go bariatric surgery and my life has changed for the better! it is known through out the bariatric program that compliance is key. the surgery is not a simple fix. with dr tymitz on my team i can do anything. i am blessed to have him by my side along with the dietitians and MA. god bless!!!!

Dr. Tymitz was great, awesome personality, a true professional. He performed an emergency appendectomy on me, where the appendix had ruptured. He's an ACE, and lucky that he was on call that night!

He is one of the most compassionate and caring physicians I have had to take care of me. He listens and spends the time to talk with me and does not make me feel as if I am a mental case. He is honest and understanding in his approach to treatment and care.

Dr. Tymitz is young, but he is the most caring surgeon I have ever had, and I have had many. I trust him with my life. He has performed two different major surgeries on me and a couple minor in-office procedures. His love for his patients is extremely obvious, and I recommend him to anyone who is needing either a general surgeon or a bariatric surgeon. My husband and I have been extremely impressed by him, and my parents met him when he assisted on my hysterectomy, and they commented on how great he is. I honestly can't find the words to express how highly I think of him.
