Dr. Kevin Gerard Wietecha, DO

I have seen Dr. Wietecha for about 4 yrs. He is one of the most attentive doctors I have had. He will listen and then follow through with treatments and diagnoses. He provides very understandable explanations.

Dr Wietecha is a nice enough man. Never rude or anything but he comes in, stares at his computer, checks blood work real fast and is out the door. Years ago he listened to symptoms and seemed to care if you were having problems, he doesn't anymore. He also gets frustrated if you don't want on some med that you know is not necessary. I use to actually like Nurse practitioners better at Dr's office but not at this office. They are rather rude and don't even do your own research and question them about anything. They get upset about that and show it. You rarely see the Dr. and when you do its at the most for two minutes. In and out. I will say that, there isn't much waiting. They roll them in and roll them out. They do not really treat the disease, its all about the numbers. Symptoms don't matter and they don't seem to have a lot of knowledge about others things besides diabetes.

When I was going to him I thought he was over evasive. He was treating me for a pituitary tumor. I had to have blood work every other month and an MRI every 6 months which I couldn't afford it. So then I went to another endocrinologist at a different office and he was too Lac. Went back to Northeast to a different doctor and the first visit was great. After that she just rushes you right through. I now regret not staying with dr. Wietecha...

I have been going to him for almost 31 years, and he is a great doctor, I am well pleased with the medical care that I receive from him.

It takes forever to get an appointment. And when you do finally get an appointment, you only speak with Dr. W for maybe 2 minutes! For almost a decade I went to his practice, and I complained about the symptoms I was having and it got nowhere. Finally found another doctor and got answers the very first visit.

It has taken years to find a Doctor and office team who care about me and every visit try to make changes which help me!

Dr. Wietecha is the best doctor I have seen. I have had type I diabetes for 15 years and saw two doctors before I found him. He listens to all of my concerns and really looks after my best interest. No other doctor can compare to him. His office staff is always courteous and friendly. The NPs give wonderful care. There is not a better doctor or office around.

Dr. Wietecha is the best endocrinologist I have seen. I went to three or four endocrinologists before I have found him and can honestly say he is the best in Ohio! He always pays attention to what I tell him and takes into consideration what I am saying. I would recommend him to anyone looking for top notch care.

I've had type 1 diabetes for almost 30 years. Dr. Wietecha does not take his time with me, beats around the bush about 50 things, but never follows through with those things. The office staff is horrible. They have continuously sent prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy or sent the wrong prescriptions period. It's hard to get an appointment and I rarely see the doctor himself. The NP's are not all that great, and they are all on a different page than the doctor. One says to do one thing, and another says to do something else. How confusing! I wouldn't recommend this office. Save yourself the stress, and find a compassionate doctor instead.
