He has very limited and outdated information about surgical menopause and regular menopause. I wasn’t given the HRT I desperately needed. Went to a menopause clinic and I feel normal again.

My c-section incision came open, and he refused to see me, despite the fact that I was actively and heavily bleeding from my incision. I had to see another doctor in the practice for follow-up care. Only then was I allowed an appointment, as the bleeding still would not stop after several days. At this appointment, he spent more time talking to my husband about his beard and socks then he did my open incision. He even blamed "my body type" on the incision coming open, even though I was on a blood thinner during my pregnancy. News flash, doc. I had this same "body type" with my first c-section and recovery was seamless and smooth, completely unlike my c-section with Windom. I ended up having to be a patient of the Kennestone Wound Care Unit until 7 weeks postpartum. He also tried to push filshie clips (tubal litigation) on me, even though I clearly stated multiple times that I was not interested. He went as far as to try to convince my husband immediately prior to the surgery to… consent, as I lied on the operating table waiting for surgery. Is that even legal? I was so mortified by my experience, I skipped my postpartum six week checkup to avoid having to see him again.

I have been seeing Dr. Kevin Windom for over 20 years. He is an amazing doctor who truly cares for his patients. He really takes the time to listen to you and his staff is great too! Sincerely, Katherine S, Alpharetta GA

I've been very pleased with Dr. Windom and his staff but please be forewarned about the Myriad Genetic service they offer. I was told since cancer runs in my family to do a genetic cancerous test and that most likely my insurance company will cover everything. Myriad Genetic Labs billed BCBS of GA $12,224!!! Of course BCBS DENIED these claims! How can genetic test even cost this much money ANYWHERE, and how are these people getting away with ripping patients off like this? This is a SCAM!

I have been a patient of Dr Windom since 1999. He is an amazing OB/GYN, diagnostician and wonderful, caring doctor. Dr Windom saw me through 2 pregnancies, several miscarriages and finally a hysterectomy using the Davinci robotics tool at Kennestone hospital. He is caring and never in a rush. Through happy and difficult times, Dr Windom is very honest about any situation but compassionate too. He is the BEST doctor I have ever seen.

Doctor Windom is my hero. He has a great bedside matter and answered all the question I and my husband had. I did have surgery and I have to tell you I was in good hands.

I was referred to Dr. Windom from GA Reproductive Specialists after a diagnosis of uterine fibroids. I was very nervous about the surgery and recovery. Dr. Windom put me at ease. My case ended up being more complicated, but he was able to remove all of the fibroids using the da Vinci robot. Dr. Windom is an excellent surgeon and doctor. He has a wonderful bedside manner and seems to truly care about his patients. I would recommend Dr. Windom to anyone that is considering this surgery. My recovery was quick and the scarring is minimal.

Dr. Windom delivered all 3 of my children via c-section, and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor to do it! He is an amazing surgeon! No visible scars and no complications from any of them. I totally trust his expertise, and should I need any gyn surgery in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to have him perform it. He has a great bedside manner and fun personality. The only downside is you have to be quick to schedule your annual well check when the calendar opens up or it will be a solid 3 month wait for your appt. Also, the wait time to see him when you're at your appt has gotten longer. Just this past year I waited 2 hours in the office for a prenatal check up (and no, he wasn't on call that day). That is unusual, but typically itâ??s a good 30-60 minute wait. He's worth it if you have the patience and time.
