He didn't listen or try to understand what I said, even in the report he wrote down doesn't even reflect what I told him.

The physician seemed to have had some time to review my file. I appreciated the doctor being forthcoming with his retirement on the horizon.

All is Good, and I am Doing my Best, the Way I Know, and Help Was Provided, when needed, I Do Appreciate that.I Do not Know Everything, and I Ask.

He had an attitude, brushed off my concerns with loud sighs like I was lying to him, made me feel like I was a malingerer when I just wanted care and answers for my sudden neurological changes. Glad he ordered a lab and an MRI though.

Dr. Wood was very good. Finally found a doctor that would like to me. He was very honest and to the point!

Dr was very nice and reassuring. Feel comfortable with his recommendations. Glad I chose to be referred to OU.

My experience with Dr. Wood was a disappointment. He did not take what I said to heart and I was just another “typical migraine” patient to him. He pushed migraine medication on me, even when I told him I have been experiencing much more than migraines. I left in tears out of frustration. Don’t go to see him if you’re wanting a doctor that will listen to you and fight to find you a true solution to the problem instead of just masking the symptoms.

I saw Doctor Wood twice. He is highly intelligent and very nice. His intelligence and knowledge is on a whole other level, so he might possibly be misunderstood by patients who expect a specific kind of "bedside manner." From the result of the tests he gave me, he drew conclusions that took into consideration both what I was being tested for and what I told him. The kind of doctor who seriously considers patient's input instead of only going "by the book" are rare in my opinion, and should be highly valued. The second time I saw Dr Wood, he was kind enough to take the time to answer a question of mine about me, during a visit when the appointment was for my elderly mother, not me. My question was far from a normal one, and I was surprised that he listened carefully, took me seriously, and took the time to answer. Another doctor would surely have brushed me off, saying I should make an appointment. Doctor Wood, in addition to answering my question, leveled with me, telling me… that even for normal issues, modern medicine has barely scratched the surface of what is known of the human brain, let the unusual experiences I had relayed to him, what he told me, however, relieved all my worries and concerns, and confirmed the test results he'd given me several years earlier. He was correct, No issues have arisen since I spoke with him. I appreciated him so much, both times I saw him that I would recommend him to anyone, but especially I would recommend him to friends who are very intelligent and open-minded, who can handle a kind, friendly, and perhaps unusual personality. I think his unusual quality stems from having a brilliant mind.
