Dr. Khaja Najibuddin Chisty, MD

Dr. Khaja N Chisty. His medical licence was revoked in Colorado. He then came to Ft Lauderdale built a patient practice of thousands, took our money and moved to orlando without notice. He left thousands of patients in need of their prescriptions high and dry without any help. You can never understand what the office staff is saying due to the heavy accent. Office staff just outright lies to you. They tell you the Dr will call you back and he never does. Buyer be ware stay away from this bad practice individual.

Brash, abrasive, rude, leaves on vacation whenever he feels like it with no notice to patients. Constantly late for appointments, sometimes even no-shows patients.

Dr failed to get back to me for refill. Staff does not return calls no matter how severe the situation is. Save yourself and see someone more reputable

Here are some highlights for my visit. I heard the woman at the front desk explain the rude text they send stating the $75 no show fee to an obviously offended patient. I showed up 15 minutes early, and waited over 45 minutes past my appointment time. Halfway through my wait, a woman brought me into a room and asked me questions without telling me what she was. I thought she was my doctor at first, as she was wearing a doctor's white coat. She asked all the same questions on the forms, repeatedly. Then she had me wait again until a man in plain clothes came in through the front door nearly an hour after my scheduled appointment and asked "Are you ready for me?" He asked very few questions, but gave endless anecdotes and examples. He gave me a paper with things to try, and cut me off when I tried to tell him I currently do the suggested activities. He messed up my age, then tried to cover for it, badly. I don't know how, as I had turned in my forms. He could have just… looked at my forms. At some point, for no seemingly good reason, he explained that he tries "not to look like a doctor, not to dress like a doctor." He called me by the wrong name repeatedly. I corrected him just minutes before he wrote the same wrong name on a prescription I told him I didn't want. I was told to wait through someone else's appointment so he could rewrite the useless prescription. When he rewrote it, he presented it to me and said "Wow, maybe I'M the one who needs ADHD medication." Which bothered me. Way to make light of a disorder, and act like it would cause the average person to lack even the smallest bit of care about their job, or other people. Now, weeks later, I am told that they are no longer a part of my network, and weren't at the time I made my appointment, or showed up for my appointment. I specifically asked when I made my appointment, "Do you accept Blah Blah Insurance?" and was told they did. I filled out my insurance info for them, twice. They billed me incorrectly and now I have to dispute the $250 charge. The woman at the front desk passed me off to a billing company who was much nicer and let me know that she's been trying to get the front desk to tell people they are no longer part of my insurance network, but this does keep happening. I would not deal with their front desk again, even if the doctor was amazing, and he most certainly is not amazing. I would not deal with the doctor again, even if he was compatible with my insurance-even if he paid me triple my copay, I would not want to listen to him drone on about things I've already been told. Of course, in his defense, he would not know that I've already been told these things because he didn't ask me more than 6 questions the entire time I was there, including: Are you ready for me? You're 18 right? How do you spell Bell? (Not my last name. Not even the right initial.) Wow, you hardly spoke, do you have self esteem issues? And one question with a subsequent suggestion and judgement about having children that deeply bothered and offended me. I do not recommend. This doctor does not care about patients, and is clearly very, very focused on the fees he can charge for no-shows. Too focused to make sure he gets your name right, or to ask you your thoughts, or to tell you you'll have to pay private practice fees, or to get his staff proper training, etc.

First off, Dr. Chisty is a fantastic and truly professional doctor. I am VERY fortunate to have him as my mother and I's Dr. The caring and understanding from him is something i really love about having him as my primary. He knows exactly what medication helped me and my mother and our lives are so much better now. You're the best Doc! Mom says water the plants! haha jk ..Best phycatrist in the north Denver area, caring and loving. That's all people want from a doctor, not to be judged or discouraged like alot of doctors will. 5stars for Dr. Khaja Chisty

I was suffering SEVERELY after receiving steroid injections into my back with PANIC, ANXIETY, INSOMNIA, HOT FLASHES, and menstrual issues. The man who gave me the injections did not ask if I had a history of panic/anxiety, nor did he ask how many previous steroids had I received, nor did he inform me of any side effects. The DAY AFTER the injections I woke up with severe panic and hot flashes!! Then no sleep and anxiety ALL DAY for days!! Went to the ER, and at least they told me it WAS the steroid..I was given Valium, and was able to sleep...although not the best. My primary care agreed this was from the steroid, as well as the MD who injected me, and all they said I could do was: WAIT it out. After being in the ER over 4 times in 3 months being told by psychs, nurses, and MD's that I could be suffering from pre-menopause (funny the day after the shot I went into menopause LOL), suffering GREATLY, I found by the grace of God, Dr. CHISTY!! He told me that what I had read… about steroid induced psychosis is REAL, and diagnosed me with Steroid Induced Mood Disorder. He started me on Valium, daily; I had taken it in the past for nearly 4 months with 2 months of weaning and had no issues. Without that: I was a WRECK. My kids were in school, I was in online college classes, and my husband was about to lose his job from missing so much work to take me in and out of the ER. Although I HATE meds, DISLIKE most Doctors especially the one's here in Colorado (SO MEAN and treat you like a number), I had no choice. I tried SSRI'S, Antipsychotics, and other meds in the past for anxiety/panic...and NONE worked for me, honestly not even Valium did at the time. Yet THIS TIME...IT WORKED!! Not the best at first, and even though I felt like I could use more, I chose to suffer a little and stuck with the same dose as Dr. Chisty said over the months the steroid effects would ware off and I would be better. I am now starting month 6 since the shot from H E Double hockey sticks, and I just started to notice changes. So Dr. Chisty and all the info. I found online about this issue were CORRECT, it WAS the steroid!! Thank you Dr. Chisty for you knowledge, kindness, and help!! I think i'm nearly ready to stop the Valium and wean, and hopefully with the Lord's help as with the last time, I will have NO WITHDRAW symptoms. I also will say, I was on medicaid when I started to see him...he accepted it and got me in RIGHT AWAY when other's said it could be MONTHS. Unfortunately medicaid is dinking around with Dr. Chisty and won't allow him to accept medicaid, but he is working on it. So I had to HUNT for another Psych Dr that takes medicaid in the North Denver area...YEAH, either they won't help you on Benzos, won't take medicaid, don't take new patients, or are out of network and you need special permission from medicaid to see them. I turned to REGULAR MD's...primary care docs for help...WHAT A JOKE so far. They looked down on me for taking this med that has gotten me through this nightmare!! They did not even really believe the "steroid" caused my issues; even after showing them Dr. Chisty's diagnosis in writing!! I love Colorado's beauty, but for people who are disabled, or are struggling and NEED to be on temporary medicaid...this is NOT the state for help!! IOWA was so much better for help...full coverage dental, medical, mental health and eyes...and you can see almost ANY doctor and they take medicaid with NO PROBLEM!! Colorado...for a liberal state...you system is AWFUL!! ANYWAY. Dr. Chisty and his staff are bending over backwards trying to help me get a "Single Case Agreement" to be seen. If I don't get my case accepted, they STILL are willing to lower fees to help me!! Even if you are dirt poor, if you are desperate for help...you can pay this fee; it is NOT that high!! May the Lord BLESS THEM and their kind hearts for not labeling me, or thinking i'm nuts, or thinking i'm drug seeking!! I HIGHLY recommend him, he may not spend a lot of time with you, but SO WHAT...he knows what he's talking about!! He also does not have others waiting for an HOUR just to see him that way!! WAY TO GO KAHN and Dr. CHISTY!!
