Dr. Khalid Iqbal, MD

This place was awful, we are not from around here so when our family Dr. sent us there we had no idea. My husband was having stomach issues and was needing clearance for surgery after a hospital stay. We waited over 2 hours just to see the dr. When he came in he said all of isssues could be resolved if he ate 4 egg whites every morning and muscle milk. We pushed for him to still do a colonoscopy, which he agreed to after making him try this diet for 2 weeks prior. My husband did the diet with no relief, we went in for the colonscopy which went fine, however after it was done he told him the same thing except that his stomach was inflamed but dietary changes could relieve it. We went back and saw the surgeron who though surgery would still be beneficial. We went ahead with the surgery and the surgeon said his colon was extremely sick and he could see why he was having so many issues. After the recovery his isssues have been resolved. Had we listen to Dr. Iqbal we would still be… suffering. I would not recommend going to him for care. On a side note he also is very derogitory towards women, when he was telling us about the dietary change he said to me "are you listening you need to learn how to cook, well my husband chimed in that he does most of the cooking, and he had the nerve to ask me "well then what do you do?" I very polietly answered I work. He spoke down to his nurses. and I heard him after he left us go into another room and talk to a very elderly patient, and the way he spoke to here I could of charged into that room. After telling people about our experience they said they got the same response..eat egg whites, drink muscle milk...not all issues have the same treatment.

I will not be back. He’s the attitude of a cruel animal. Has no real concern. It’s hurry and go on out the door, not telling you anything. :(

No bedside manner,emphasizes on high protein diet rather than the issues, vague on out come of procedures like colonoscopy and endoscopic,felt uneasy, I was given paper said they remove hemmroids told them prior to procedure that mine had been bleeding for days and to remove them still have hemmroids called office they said he dont do it
