Dr. Khalid Salem Kakish, MD

I am a veterinarian and understand the basics of a good neurologic exam. I can not express enough how poor the evaluation was. No reflex tests were done, did not watch him walk, etc. He jumped to the conclusion it was all "in his head" even though we had extensive testing from oishei stating otherwise. He questioned why we were there as brain fog and other symptoms he has are not neurologic conditions they work with BUT I know most if not all long covid centers have a neurologist as a part of the team. He said if I wanted it he could order an mri in a demeaning tone to placate me but clearly indicated it was not needed. (A long covid dr told me recently that mri and contrast mri are indicated for him) He should be embarrassed by his behavior and prejudicial thoughts and I would not have him in my hospital or on my team.

Barely knew if my child was a boy or a girl...And literally asked that upon seeing her. Quick to dismiss our feelings as parents and doesn't make eye contact when speaking at all. Very impersonal.
