Dr. Khalil Mahmood Malik, MD

Dr. Malik has been my allergist for about 25 years. I wouldn't go to anyone else.

I went to Dr. Malik twice several years ago and refused to see any allergist after him because I had sure a horrible experience. He told me I no longer had asthma - I wish. If I don't have asthma why do my lungs stop working all of a sudden? I had a scratch test done. I was very allergic to a lot of things. My arms were itching so badly and I had redness and bumps all over my arms. I asked if there was anything I could do and was told "they will be gone before you leave". When I was leaving and still had them and asked again I was told "they will be gone before you get home". The bumps took 3 days to go down and the redness and itchiness took 10 days. I suffered for 10 days wanting to take all the skin off my forearms because it was so bad, but had no clue what I could do to help it. When Dr. Malik saw how allergic I was I thought he would suggest allergy shots or prescribe something I could take to reduce the suffering, but he suggested that "I always have my windows closed" ok - I… share a house, "don't go outside" well I have an outdoor summer job, and my personal favorite "hold your breath whenever you're walking outside" - lets see how well that works during the school year when I have to walk 10 minute from where I park to my office building. He was completely unrealistic and did not listen to me at all. I would NEVER recommend him to a friend - or even an enemy because he is that BAD that he should not be still practicing.

Excellent Doctor. Found out I had high blood pressure problem that I did not even know about it....was there to see him for allergies. He is very thorough.
