Dr. Khiem Duc Nguyen, MD

I say him on Monday for a colonoscopy, that went horribly wrong. Just cause I smoke, I was garbage to this man. I was sent home to bleed to death, ended up going back to hospital by ambulance where he did a 2nd colonoscopy, when I was told by him that i messed up his whole day of surgeries, to clamp more of the areas where he removed polyps. The nurse i had at the end said, he should've done that yesterday. You want to talk about arrogant, how can he be employeed anywhere??

Who does a dr think he is that he can tell a person they must not love somebody because they haven't been able to quit smoking. Who criticizes a patient and tells them they destroyed their body and now HE has to fix it. This guy (not going to call him a Dr.) is a jerk - he is condescending, rude, obnoxious. He told my mother her ER diagnosis was wrong - but did not run one test on her. Refused to allow her to ask questions and told her to shut up and listen to him. Fix the problem - don't run the patient in the ground.!! Horrible man

This is the second time I have been exposed to Dr Nguyen, two different patients and different conditions. Each patient was diagnosed before examination. Both were spoken to with rudeness and condemnation for past struggles regarding addiction , a refusal to acknowledge the 12 Step program of A.A. As a staff member and resident of Charleston Recovery Center, I find him unprofessional, offensive and life threatening to those who might otherwise accept our spiritual program of action and recover from alcoholism and addiction.

Do yourself a favor, find another gastrointestinal doctor. I could write a few paragraphs on this, but I’ll restrain. Wouldn’t see him if he was the last doctor on earth!

I went with my friend to this Doctor, he was extremely rude with the analyses and comparisons. Forget about trying to discuss your symptoms, this Doctor will tell you what they are and that's that, look some where else for your problems to be answered with a civil answer. The wait wasn't bad, that's because there is twenty chairs to sit in and only two or three being used. Find yourself another GI specialist to avoid the trauma.

Sorry my husband went to see this doctor which was a follow-up visit after hospitalization. Made very negative comments that my husband did not need to hear. Husband came into the office with a wheelchair and doctor told him not to expect to walk again that he was a very sick man and would spend rest of his life in a wheelchair and to get used to it. He should not be giving diagnosis about something that is not related to his field. Certainly will not go back and never recommend him to someone else.

This Dr. discovered a problem with my mother’s liver and got it corrected. He was very thorough, would definitely recommend him, he was not rude at all!

Went to him with a referral from the hospital. Would not listen to me and made feel like I knew nothing about myself and he already had a diagnosis before running any tests on me. When the discussion of cbd alternative medicine I take for anxiety came up he told me that it was made in a lab and not natural.... okay that’s wrong number one and two I take it for anxiety and it helps the less medicine I have to take they better. He wrote me off as a patient because I would not listen to him about something he clearly knew nothing about. He wanted to put me on medication and talked me like I was a child. I was simply there for a colonoscopy. Never again will I go here and would not recommend. Staff is rude and my app was a scheduled for 10:15 but the doctor didn’t show up until 11:15. How can you treat your patients this way. I recommend reading google reviews as well as they cannot be fooled with.

went to him as a follow up after i left the hospital for constipation. he prescribed something , i tried to ask him questions about the medicine , he told me i wasnt a doctor and should do as he says, he was rude stood there rubbing his face and head like he was so annoyed , told me if i didnt want to listen to him not to come back . Which i havent i will find some one else never seen a doctor act like that , cant see how he can have any patients with his attitude .

I have been seeing Dr Nguyen for one year and I am so grateful for him and his staff. He is knowledgable, caring, and goes out of his way to be available for his patients. The same goes for his staff who surpasses EVERY other doctors office I have visited! Thank you Dr. Nguyen and staff for your all that you do!
