Dr. Khoa Vo, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Vo for several years. He is a compassionate, caring physician, I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes in his office;he does not overprescribe and is willing to listen to any and all of my concerns regarding my treatment plan and medications. I highly recommend him.

very easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable

I was referred to him after he helped my aunt for years. I contacted his office in Mt. Pleasant and had to see his partner first. I forget the guy’s name, but he wasn’t employed there very long. After a blow up with him, the office manager (Debbie) contacted me. She stated that in regards to my previous terrible experience, she would make sure that I was able to see Dr. Vo and that they would accept my Medicaid benefits. By accepting my Medicaid, I didn’t have a co-payment. I met with Dr. Vo the following week and he didn’t say much. I talked my head off about all of my problems and he keep saying that he he shortness of breath was likely due to asthma. Mind you, I’m 27 and never been diagnosed with asthma. After a quick trip to the emergency room, they told me my breathing was fine. I was experiencing panic attacks. Dr. Vo quickly prescribed me an extremely high dosage of Xanax. It was working and I finally felt better! After a month, I received a call from Debbie stating that they… could no longer accept my Medicaid and I would be self pay from then on. I could not afford this. I then learned that I had Cigna coverage through my employment and had had it for a few months. When I called Debbie back and asked her to run my visits through the Cigna coverage, she said that they couldn’t do that. I spoke to some coworkers of mine at a doctor’s office and they said that what Debbie had told me was absolutely false. I called Debbie back and explained to her my findings. She wanted to part of it and got ugly with me. Once I mentioned that I would be leaving a bad review on Google, she changed her tune. She set up and appointment for the next day. Once I was back in Dr. Vo’s room, he handed me a sealed envelope. He said that I was acting unruly and he would no longer be my doctor. He gave me a prescription for a month supply and said I had a month to find a new doctor. The extremely high dose of the addicting drug would soon cause withdrawal symptoms that could be deadly. I told him my worries and he said there was nothing he could do. They actually had the nerve to send me a bill! Yeah, right!!!!!! I do not recommend this man or company whatsoever. Use extreme caution when accepting his treatment!

I have seen Dr. Vo for a few years now. I can say that he is a very compassionate and caring physician, he does not make me feel rushed and always asks about how my life is going in general not just in relation to medication. He clearly cares for his patients and he wants to help and although I think he prefers patients to check in more often to make sure things are okay, he is equally happy to give patients their space when they are too busy to have regular appointments. He always provides financial help regarding discount cards for medication and trials for medicines when they are available. Additionally, he stays current with new medications and deficiencies such as prescription methylfolate which has been shown to help some patients with depression due to a common mutation in the MTHFR gene. I have seen psychiatrists in the past who would try to prescribe a cocktail of medicines and that is definitely not Dr. Vo. I actually find him to be extremely conservative when… suggesting medicines and initial doses only suggesting an increase or change in medication with patients if they do not respond following a significant period of trialing the medication.

Dr Vo is a horrible doctor. He might as well be a drug dealer from my opinion. The administrator who answers the phone is unprofessional and sarcastic. It was a horrible experience. I would say run as fast and far as you can from this doctor. I have never in my life written a review like this for any doctor.

Brought my 12 yr old son with aspergers and depression. Went well in spite of my son's crankiness. He listened to our needs and son's opinions, asked good questions, redirected conversation as needed, made great recommendation. When I forgot son's meds traveling, called Wed afternoon right before Thanksgiving , his staff checked with him and called out of state pharmacy w/in an hour to help out. Can't see how they could be any better.

Dr. Vo responded immediately to our needs and his recommendations and changes in medications have made a complete turn around for my husband's condition. He is very kind and calm and listens to his patients and their concerns. We highly recommend Dr. Vo.
