Dr. Khodadad Namiranian, MD

Dr Namiranian treated my nerve pain in my feet years ago and I am still pain free. He was kind, professional, and a great listener. I highly recommend seeing him if you need help for your pain. He is practical and wants to help fix the underlying problem. I am very happy with his care, treatment and follow up. He is respectful, easy to talk to and has a calming demeanor.

I’ve been dealing with some chronic stuff and was just referred to him. He was a great listener and I really felt understood by him. He seems to really care.

When he first came in to see me, he asked me, "What do I call you? He, she, it?" This is a wildly inappropriate question to ask a transgender person, especially because of the "it" he threw in there. His nurse called me by my appropriate name without correction, however he called me my deadname. Points down for that one. In our first appointment, he asked me if I was experiencing xyz symptom. I told him, "Yes, I'm actually experiencing it right now." Later when I checked the notes for our appointment, he wrote I denied experiencing that symptom. In our second appointment, I told him about a symptom that concerned me and caused me to hug myself because holding my arms at my side hurt so badly. He seemed to think I meant I was hugging myself for emotional comfort, as he commented about some people eating for comfort, some people hugging themselves for comfort. I told him he misunderstood, however he still didn't address the symptom and continued with the comfort-hugging line of… thought. He has been generally unhelpful and kind of uncooperative in my pain management treatment. I do appreciate him scheduling me with other folks to help with this though. I am for sure asking to see a different doctor the next time I make an appointment. He does not listen and I do not feel respected by him.
