Dr. Khuda Dad Khan, MD

Nursing staff and physician assistants are great, but I was not very impressed with Dr. Khan. First impressions can be very powerful and my first impression was less than stellar. This practice handles both cancer patients and benign hematology patients, and I personally felt like he did not seem all that interested in my situation because I was being seen for a non-life threatening issue on the benign hematology side of the practice rather than on the cancer side. At my very first appointment I’d estimate that I saw Dr. Khan for less than 10 minutes. Most of the 1 hour plus appointment was spent either waiting in the exam room or with the nurse/physician assistant, who was very attentive and lovely. During those slim few minutes I actually did get to see Dr. Khan, he barely even entered the room all the way, and instead sort of stood leaning against the doorway as if he was in a hurry to get through the appointment and couldn’t be bothered to be fully present in the room with me.… On top of this, he also interrupted me more than once and started waving his hand to dismiss what I was saying before I even finished explaining myself and the reasoning behind my concerns. I suspect my being a young female was a contributing factor to this. He didn’t even seem interested in actually trying to do anything to figure out the WHY behind my issue, which was concerning to me because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t the manifestation of something deeper or more serious. Instead he just wrote me a prescription for a pill to take and blamed it on a period related issue from my distant past that I tried more than once to tell him I have not had for several years. As far as general office experience goes, I was rather uncomfortable with the fact that my exam room door as well as the two that I could see across from me were left wide open, which meant that I could hear everything that was being said in the room of the patient across from me, especially since the doctor in that room had a booming voice and was speaking very loudly. I’m not an expert, but I feel like there HAS to be some sort of HIPAA issue with this given that patient health information is no longer private if everyone can hear it being discussed and no steps are taken to muffle the sound, such as closing the door. They also heavily overcharge for the most basic bloodwork that takes hardly any time or labor to complete, and force you to see the doctor after what is only supposed to be a labs appointment just so they can charge for an office visit, during which you’re kept waiting long past your appointment time. I eventually stopped going and cancelled all appointments because of financial reasons, but even if I had stayed with the practice I would have transferred to a different doctor at a different location.

Why he isnt on the Leukemia Society page as a specialist.. This Dr and his staff have answered every question until I understood. Sense of humor. Great bedside manner. Doesn't mind you getting second , third or fourth opinions. Glad he is in my corner.

Dr Khan is a great doctor. He will fight for his patient's and do everything that he can to get the patient the best outcome. He uses set guidelines and is not afraid to think outside the box when necessary.

Beware...Liar.. dangerous man.do not trust this person who calls his self a dr.hes kin to Satan for sure.

I have had the pleasure of working along the side of Dr. Khan and words cannot express what I have witnessed . Four years ago my own mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung cancer and she is still here today! I am so thankful for his care and knowledge. I am ever so grateful for him. Great Doctor!!
