Dr. Khurram Abbass, MD

Dr. Abbass is a knowledgeable rheumatologist, but he is the only certified rheumatologist at the clinic. The rest of the staff consists of Physician Assistants (PAs). After my initial visit with Dr. Abbass, all my follow-up appointments were with PAs, who didn't provide the same level of expertise as the doctor himself. This left me feeling uncertain about the care I was receiving. Another issue I encountered was the long wait times. The waiting room is small and crowded, and there is a long wait in waiting room and more often a long wait inside the office some times an hour before doctor see me. Although they apologize for the delays, but this has been an ongoing problem. Lastly, based on my past experience with rheumatology care, once my condition stabilized after a few visits, follow-up appointments were typically scheduled every 3–6 months. However, this clinic continued scheduling monthly visits even when there was no clear medical need. As a result, I was required to pay a $50… specialist copay each time, which gave the impression that these frequent appointments were driven more by revenue considerations than by clinical necessity.

sincceresslly this Dr is not work it..total frustrasion bad doctor not recomended even to my enemy.

After seeing different Rheumatologist Dr. Abbass is a keeper. He spends time with you and actually listens to both my wife and I about our concerns before making his decision. He seems genuinely interested in fixing my condition.

Dr. Abbass saved my life. I went to him not knowing what was happening to me and within one hour he knew that I had Giant Cell Arterites. I would have gone totally blind. He is gentle and kind and I would highly recommend him.
