Had a recent tonsillectomy this month done by Dr. Shey. I continued to have throat bleeding for nearly 3 weeks continuously. My concerns were ignored. He refused to see me one day and his nurse put me on his schedule anyway. Thank god for his team but he sucks as a surgeon. He acts like he cares about you before you sign up for surgery then afterwards if you have any complications it’s not his problem.

Waited 2 months to be seen only to have doctor spend less than 5 minutes with me and the majority of that 5 minutes he didn’t listen to my concerns. Not even worth my co pay

Saw this doctor a 2 weeks ago in Johnson City NY and I was experiencing ear pain for 3 months severe. He told me nothing was wrong with me and was all in my head. Now meanwhile he spent less than 3 minutes in my room and maybe took 2 seconds a piece looking in my ears. Don’t ever go to this man he is most uncaring person ever. I had an appointment with a different ENT this week and There is something wrong with my ears. Such a wasted appointment.

If you don’t have cancer he doesn’t care at all. He runs out of the room so fast before you ask a question and he never explained anything to me.

Surgeon is arrogant and he does surgery so fast. ( Negligently) Example a tonsillectomy in less than 8 minutes. Leaving my grandchild unable to swallow for over 6 months. Chronic pain. And needing now 2 surgeries to correct. Do not let this man touch your child. No one should need more than 2 surgeries to correct a tonsillectomy. And we are not done with surgical correction.

Do not recommend this doctor at all he botched my child’s tonsillectomy didn’t remove the entire tonsil on one side and has had multiple complications since her surgery. Requires repeat surgery to correct.

I am very grateful for Dr. Shey, if he wasn't professional and caring, I would have not been able to see at all in my left eye, following a sinusitis surgery, thank you Dr! Maine

He is excellent. His bed side manner is very PROFESSIONAL. He is not scared to explain your problem elem to yo you. He is a 5 star Doctor in my book. Very impressed.

He listened to my concerns, did an examination of my throat , ordered testing and most importantly explained everything . I was impressed. He clearly knows what he's doing.
