I recently had my gallbladder removed by Dr. Weaver, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. I initially went to the emergency room with severe upper abdominal pain. After undergoing a CT scan, I was informed that I needed surgery and would be admitted to the hospital. The next morning, Dr. Weaver visited me at my bedside. From our first interaction, he was friendly, informative, and had a calm, reassuring presence. Although I don’t typically make quick decisions regarding surgery, I immediately felt that moving forward with the procedure was the right decision. Dr. Weaver’s bedside manner is exceptional. He explained everything thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable and informed every step of the way. After the surgery, he came to speak with me, which helped put me further at ease. I am a RYN gastric bypass patient from SW Michigan!!! He did my surgery in 2015. I am so glad that he was the one that I chose to do my surgery, he made me feel confident and secure in my decision on getting my RYN. It is a shame that he left shortly after after my surgery was done. Now we have hard times to have a follow ups here and he was always on top of seeing all his patients! Dr Weaver you really brought more life to me after my RYN. I have reached a lot of my dreams and still continue too. For this I feel that I honestly owe you my life as you saved me from the dark side and brought the sunshine to it. I can not recommend a better Dr ever.kiss having you around to show you all the progress you have helped me get in my new life!!!

I highly recommend Dr. Kibwe Weaver to anyone who is need of abdominal surgery. He was one of the most caring compassionate and understanding humans I have encountered. When I had pancreatitis and Gallbladder surgery I felt completely at ease in his hands. He is not only knowledgeable in medicine but he also has the ability to give time and comfort to his patients. He understands and offers whatever time one needs to heal. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs surgical procedures.

Dr. Weaver literally saved my daughter's life when her appendix ruptured. She required two emergency surgeries and he handled her care with compassion, expertise and wisdom. He is warm and appropriately professional. We always felt we were in good hands during the entire two weeks she needed to be admitted for treatment.

I had a bowel obstruction due to a hernia; was admitted to hospital from ER at about 1AM. Sometime in the morning, this big man entered the room, introduced himself, and put his hands on the herniated area. It hurt. He did this again, and voila, no pain. He had put things back in place -- and then he taught me how to do it myself. At risk of sounding non-professional, I just wanted to give him a big big bear hug!!

I have heard from Dr. Weaver's patients that he is a fantastic surgeon, and is very affable. It's too bad that he is no longer in SW Michigan. It's also too bad that there are a lot of hypocrites and small-minded people in this area (the US).

Dr Weaver is amazing with his patients. I have never felt rushed through appointments and he answers every question. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering bariatric surgery.
