I have been going to Dr. Birhanu for approx. 3 years. Have loved the care and treatment I have received. However, that changed with my last issue. I was having issues with my hip and thigh, originally the Dr. and I both thought it was bursitis. I was supposed to rest it, but due to my own circumstances that wasn't possible. When I got to the point I could rest it, instead of getting better, it was getting worse. I moved my appointment up a couple of days, figuring the DR would send me for Xrays, which he did. This is when it went south. I had to call 3 days in a row to get my results. I never spoke to the doctor but spoke to his receptionist. I was given a diagnosis, I asked what were the next steps. His receptionist told me that there were none. I explained I was still in pain and was told that I would have to take OTC Meds. I explained that they didn't work and she said that was all that could be done. I stated I would be coming in to pick up xrays and report and go… somewhere I could be helped. She informed me that NO ONE was going to be able to help me. I went to an Urgent care near my home and have found relief from the pain and discomfort with proper medication. I have since found a new Primary care physician. I really Liked Dr. Birhanu, but for him to not reach out to me and not help me is just being a Lazy Doctor.
