Dr. Kieran Dowd attended McGill University in Montreal Canada where he received his Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Cellular Biology in 1992. He then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 1996. Dr. Dowd then moved to New Jersey where he spent 6 years at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship in 1997. In 1998 he received his certificate from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ after completing the Dental Anesthesia Fellowship program in the department of Anesthesia. Dr. Dowd completed his residency in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in June of 2002. Since then he has practiced in Andover, MA and Cape May, NJ. He has been practicing with Concord & Lexington Oral Surgery Associates since April 2005.
Dr. Kieran Dowd is Board Certified with …the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a current member of the American Dental Association and is past president of the Massachusetts Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Dowd is an active staff member at Emerson hospital. Dr. Dowd’s clinical interests include dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, reconstructive surgery and anesthesia.
