Hi everyone. I'm Dr. Kierstin. I joined Duxbury Children's Dentistry two and a half years ago. I was born and raised on Long Island, NY. I received a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Skidmore College, and earned my DMD from The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, I received the merit award from the American Society of Dentistry for Children.
During my Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, as Chief Resident, I acquired a certificate in intravenous sedation. I then spent two years practicing general dentistry while working as a clinical instructor at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. In 2007 I received my specialty training in pediatric dentistry from Long Island Jewish Medical Center. As chief resident, I had the opportunity to obtain extensive training in craniofacial abnormalities, including cleft lip and palate, oral sedation, and oral rehabilitation in the …operating room I have volunteered at Special Olympics Special Smiles for several years, and participated with Give Kids a Smile. I currently have operating room privileges at Franciscan Children's Hospital in Brighton, MA.
In my spare time I enjoy biking, skiing, ballet, pilates, yoga and spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy New England because of the proximity to the beach, the city, the mountains and Long Island. It is a privilege to be able to create an environment where kids feel comfortable and at ease while receiving their dental care. It is wonderful to see a big smile by the end of the appointment.
