I was treated by Dr. O'Connell in an inpatient setting where he ignored proper procedures and instituted harmfully negligent treatment methods.

great guy, he’s super friendly and makes you feel very comfortable when talking to him. he definitely is bias towards prescribing adderall but if it works, it works. also the office is pretty good at getting back to you if you have an issue or need to leave a message for dr. O’Connell. I highly recommend

I needed a new psychiatrist. I have a very hard time with change. I chose Dr. O'Connell because of his ratings, and good reviews. I was so nervous upon metting him. He made me feel so relaxed. We talked in length about my problems. Over the course of time he adjusted my meds. I'm doing well now. My therapist asked me why I go there. I told her, he is the best listner, and " he gets me." I will recomend him to anyone.

I thought all psychiatrists must be like KOC until I consulted with others after finally leaving KOC's care after 4 years. Your visits to a psychiatrist do not have to be like this. There are doctors out there who are excellent at their craft. You can experience healing from someone who will say more than "we could go up, we could go down, or we could stay the same," every single appointment regarding medicine. There are also doctors out there who will spend more than 7 minutes with you at a time after a 45 minute wait. There are doctors that will respond to a phone call when dealing with a severe side effect. Finally, there are doctors who will not make you feel like you are battling the devil alone.

Already was treating my husband, and have really noticed a huge improvement in his depression and anxiety, but he really was excellent with my 11 yr old son. He had been missing school due to vague pain which had been medically worked up and nothing found. Long story short, he put my son at ease and has really helped, my son is doing much better and back at school

Excellent Doctor! Very knowledgeable in medicine management for being on as many various medications as I have. Listens very well, considers your input, and works with you on what you want to do. You gain so much insight to what you are dealing with because he explains in detail what is happening with you, this allowing you to understand your own needs as well.

Moved to the area and need a new psychiatrist. Over the course of a number of visits he made a couple of adjustments to my medication (actually simplified it) i am now doing better. Really explains any adjustments and never pushed me to make any changes. Nice bedside manner.

I have seen Dr O'Connell a number of times over the past 3 months. In that time he switched my medication around explaining to me his rational in detail. Although I was initially anxious about the changes I am so much better now .My depression and anxiety are hugely improved. i have already recommended him to a couple of my family members.
