Dr. Kim Marie Freeman, MD

I visited Women’s Health of Central Virginia on May 7, 2026, for a pelvic exam with Dr. Freeman. Although she explained each step, the exam itself was extremely painful and far rougher than any pelvic exam I’ve ever had. At one point she told me, “this shouldn’t hurt,” even though I was clearly in pain. Every woman’s body is different, and when a patient expresses discomfort, it should be acknowledged professionally, not dismissed. The insertion of the speculum and the internal exam caused intense pain that continued long after I left the office. I was unable to work on May 8 because I could barely stand or move comfortably. The pain did not fully subside until May 10, and I only managed because I was off for the weekend. When I requested a work excuse for both May 7 and May 8, the office only provided a note for the 7th and refused to acknowledge the pain and recovery needs that carried into the next day. This lack of support was very disappointing. Because of this experience, I… will not be returning to this facility. I am sharing my experience so other women can make informed decisions about their care.

Rude…I asked a question about a timeline and instead of giving an answer or estimate…her answer was “I don’t know the world record”. ?? I wasn’t even asking a question about the longest…just how long would it be to be in labor after breaking membranes? Pretty sure a clear answer could be given. She was terrible….also kept checking dilation and said she was perplexed because had a weird cervix…not one other doctor had issue or made any comment? Just avoid.

I love dr freeman had she not been there i and my gurl would not have survived the pregnancy.. she is friendly person who makes me feel comfortable every time i go to see her for my follow ups and is very patient with me when i get paranoid regarding my health and all. She did an excellent work on me and now when i look at my body i cant even find the scars of the operation performed.. and the stitches healed in just a week. And i was up and about in just 10 days.. i love her and am surely going back to her when i plan my next. Those people who did not like her i seriously think they have some issues...

I went to her for my pregnancy..She was sweet in the beginning when there were no issues. Took all the tests in time and verified the results. By third trimester her attitude changed. She was quite condescending and ignored most of my concerns. Even during the delivery she was impatient. I will not be going back to this doctor.

Dr.Wever was courteous, caring, pleasant, knowledgeable, and never seemed rushed.

Dr. Freeman was very judgmental of my husband and I's decision to have our children close together (15 months apart) and asked very personal questions regarding my personal life and seemed very opinionated about the way to live Nd birth control etc. I left almost in tears and feeling very uncomfortable. She has absolutely no manners and i am just hoping she will not be on call for my delivery.

After meeting with Dr. Wever (now Dr. Freeman) for my first OB appointment, I am shopping around. Both my husband and I are doctors and found that the practice, including the staff, were unfriendly and expressed little concern. Her front desk person in Leesburg should just be fired for being so apathetic. Instead of providing a meeting with us following the appointment to review questions/concerns, she attempted to carry on a conversation with me while performing a pelvic exam. Very unprofessional. The office, furnishings, and gowns were dated and did not portray an outward appearance of a trust-worthy, caring practice. You can do better. My advice, look for another practice and save yourself the time.

I would describe Dr. Wever as being gregarious. She always has a smile on her face. She is always able to make me feel comfortable.
