Dr. Kim Scott Hamelberg, MD

Dr Hamelberg performed 3 major surgeries on me in a 2 year period. I felt well cared for. He took the time to explain things to me and my husband. He was very detailed of what I could expect, which I thought was important. When I called and needed to see him, they always scheduled me and got me right in. He was a no nonsense doctor meaning he expected the nursing/caring staff at the hospital to take top notch care of his patients. Some of the nursing staff complained about him but I felt that was more reflective of them than him. I'm very disappointed he retired. Loved Linda too!

Botched expensive surgery, terrible bedside manner, sexist and rude. Left me in tears and when I told the nursing staff literally none of them were surprised. Everyone hates being around him. He is awful and the surgery wasn't even worth withstanding his horrific personality.

Cold bedside manner, when my nurse found me crying after talking to him she kind of shrugged and implied that every staff member finds him socially inept and generally unpleasant to be around.

I seen Dr. Hamelberg for umbilical hernia repair consult today. I am a overweight middle-aged female. He advised me I was too overweight to have the surgery and that I was not just obese but that I was super/mega obese. I was standing at the nurse station of his office and he then said to me that I was the size of 3 persons and to say hello to all 3 for him, smile and walked away...........What kind of medical professional laughs and makes fun of a patient.

I have had wounds open up and currently 2 additional wounds opened up. I need to have further testing to see what is obstructing the wounds and led to an infection. The initial wound healed a couple of years ago when I was able to remove a suture from the wound. It closed very quickly after that. The surgeon I saw indicated it should have been disolvable but clearly was not. I attempted to see him after the wound opened in 2011 but my insurance changed and they refused. I moved and now I have two other wounds related to his work, once I get another scan, I may have to have surgery to fix his work. I got lucky and the suture appeared the first time before I was to be operated on. The Dr. pre-billed post op visits that were never conducted.

Dr. Hammelberg performed an Umbilical Hernia surgery on me that only lasted about 9 months, now I have to have it done again! I am going to a different Doctor and recommend you do the same!!

Dr. Hamelberg My mother had to undergo a surgical procedure and in such a stressful situation Dr. Hamelberg made this as pleasant and as reassuring as possible. He was very personable and genuinely caring and I am so thankful for him!!

I love Dr. Hamelburg. He did my bowel resection and could not have been more kind and caring. He is very special and I would recommend him to anyone.
