Dr. Kim Wallace Hammerberg, MD

This dr was the most ignorant dr I have ever met. My son was born with scoliosis and is now a year old. This dr cant be bothered with my millions of questions. He rolled his eyes at a couple. He then began raising his voice telling me I wasnt listening. Listening and understanding what he was saying are two different things. I pray to find a compassionate dr who will be patient with me as I try to understand this rare and aweful disease. Dr Hammerberg I hope retirement is near in your future.

He was always very good at answering my questions and concerns.

I went to Dr. Hammerberg at the age of 56 because my spine was curving significantly since I had surgery when I was 13 years old. He was very truthful with me and gave me references of people who had had the same surgery to contact.I tried to get myself as physicall fit as possible for the surgery as he suggested. Dr. Hammerberg and his associates had to sever the first fusions from the front and insert a rod first. Then, a week later he operated from the back to insert to rods.The first two months were rough, just as he said they would be. The third month I was back to work and off medication.That was in 1997 and I'm now 66 years old and able to do almost anything. I know I would have been virtually crippled had I not gone to Dr. Hammerberg. I am so thankful to him, Dr. DeWald, Sr., and their wonderful staff who were beyond helpful.
