Dr. Kim C Hendrick, MD

My mom has had Hendrick as a doctor longer than I've been alive (I'm 32 and he was my pediatrician). She has had a sore in her mouth for a few months and went to him for answers. She was/is having pain and concerned it could be cancer. Hendrick said it's not cancer because "cancer doesn't cause pain". He did a culture and it came back negative for anything. She went to an ENT today and found out it COULD BE CANCER! The ENT said cancer would cause a lot of pain. He did a biopsy and results should be available in a few days. They're currently working on setting up a CT scan. Hendrick should've at least done a biopsy when my mom first saw him for this. If it is cancer, she would've saved some time. Oral cancer can spread quickly. I just hope Hendrick's negligence hasn't made anything worse. In what universe does cancer NOT cause pain?!

I've been going to Dr. Kim Hendricks for over forty years. He has always been great at diagnosing most problems without forcing dozens of extraneous tests on me and his accuracy has been stellar. His staff overall is friendly and competent and wait times have normally been reasonable.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hendrick for over twenty years. I consider him one of the finest doctors that I have the opportunity to interact with.

My opinion is that Dr. Hendrick doesn't really listen to his patients. He doesn't make the effort to really pay attention to what you are telling him. If it isn't a "typical" illness that you have, He is quick to write a prescription as a remedy, where additional testing or further research may be a better route to take. He is not as thorough as he should be for a physician with so many years of experience. I went to him for many years, and I feel like he has changed. So much so that I changed to a different physician. I would not recommend him to friends or family.
