Dr. Kim Alison Ogle, MD

I have gone to Gil pediatrics since my child was born. The doctor we had seen for many years retired and we had to choose another which was not easy. The doctor we had seen for so long listened well and was very understanding of the importance of a parent's role in a child's life and health care. We developed a respect and trust for one another that was a great benefit to my child's care. After trying several other doctors in the group after our longtime pediatrician retired, my child and I decided upon Dr. Ogle as she seemed similar to our previous Doctor. She was good at listening, seemed well educated, and treated me as a parent with respect and did not ask me to leave the room during examinations as other doctors we tried had done. But we had three different instances occur that have resulted in us leaving the practice since we began to see this doctor. First there was a probable misdiagnoses determined by a specialist that my child was recommended to see after an extended… illness. Then there was bad advise given that was resolved by another specialist I found that helped with an issue. And finally, there was the confrontational and condescending attitude I experienced from this doctor when taking my child for a visit for a serious concern. Dr. Ogle also created an environment of distrust by stating to my child and I quote: "You do not have to listen to your mother." I should have switched doctors after the first two incidents which were cause enough to want to leave, but at the last visit we basically felt kicked out the door. We are hopeful that the new physician we have found will provide better care. We explained all of the reasons we left this grow with the new physician and she was supportive of our reasoning. I think pediatricians today are overburdened with guidelines that interfere with making a correct medical diagnosis and developing good relationships with their patients and their families. Very concerning.

After giving birth to my daughter, I went to a follow up appointment with our new pediatrician, Kim Ogle. I chose this particular pediatrician office based off of proximity to our home. We were released from the Midwife Center after 8 hours, and our newborn, frustrated with the world outside the womb, didn't want to sleep. She cried around the clock and slept in short spurts. Needless to say, I was extremely sleep deprived to the point of seeing dots and feeling rather emotional. My daughter was having difficulty latching on to nurse and my milk hadn't come in fully yet. I was looking forward to talking with an understanding and warm pediatrician about my concerns. Dr. Vogel was very abrupt, cool, and matter of fact in her demeanor. She didn't look at me when talking, addressing my partner with all questions, which made me feel invisible and insignificant. Instead of trying to help me with my nursing challenges, she pushed formula on us and warned that my baby was losing weight, which… filled me with fear. She basically insinuated that I have PPD because of how emotional I was because of the sleep deprivation. When we left, the front office handed us various formula samples, and I cried on the way home. I quickly switched my pediatrician, and I have no regrets about doing so. My daughter is now 15 months old and still nursing! Once I switched to a more understanding pediatrician who took the time out to actually talk to me about my concerns, I began to feel more confident about breastfeeding and the challenges that come along with it.

i believe that Dr kim Ogle is an outstanding physician. Dr ogle took car eof me as a child and now takes care of my son. I would highly reccomend her.

Dr Ogle is outstanding. She has been the PCP for both of my daughters and over the 20 years she has responded to all their medical needs, answered all of my questions regarding my children's health and development and overall has been fantastic. I would recommend her without hesitation!
