Dr. Kim Richard Pittenger, MD

I'm female. Pittenger disregarded my symptoms and decided without any exam that I was having muscle cramps from sitting in front of a computer all day. I knew that to be absurd and sought help from a more prudent doctor. Turns out I'd had an inferior infarction. Pittenger's attitude and negligence is why I'm rating him POOR.

Dr Pittenger is the reason I went to Virginia Mason. He is the only doctor there that’s really cares and is very thorough. His PA Chris Shaw is another reason I have kept going to Virginia Mason. I have been a patient there for 22 years and I will not continue there now that the best 2 are gone! Now it is a clinic that over charges and doesn’t even know what a physical is I rate Dr Pittenger and Dr Shaw with the highest rating possible, but Virginia Mason clinic the lowest

Pittenger disregarded my reported symptoms and misdiagnosed me. He was reluctant to refer me to a specialist. I went to a specialist on my own and needed surgery. I was not pleased with pittenger's care, found him to be condescending , and would not recommend him.

I have been seeing Dr. Pittenger since 1988. He is a GP, Family Practice doctor, that is very caring, thorough and professional. He spends a lot of time with me and will answer all my questions. If there is something he cannot answer right away, he gets back to my promptly. I highly recommend him for the whole family. I started out taking my kids to him when they were toddlers and then started seeing him myself. I have a lot of health issues which he has been able to help me with or refer me to someone else who can help.
