Dr. Kim Barefield Rashada, MD

I am so glad I found Dr. Rashada. She is prompt and kept me completely informed about the care she was providing from the beginning of my appointment to the follow up of my surgery. There was nothing kept from me and she made me feel comfortable about having my surgery. I trust her 100% and have recommended her to my family and friends.

I am 32w2d and diagnosed with severe preeclampsia. I see my OB 3 times a week due to risk of preterm labor and high BP. Today I was sent to the hospital by my OB's office due to contractions 3 minutes apart and my OB was out of office. Rashada was the Dr on call. She told me that my contractions were completely normal. She did a swab test on me and said my proteins weren't that high so she couldn't understand why I was diagnosed with preeclampsia, that my high BP was due to family history (even though I personally never have high BP except during pregnancies I've had preeclampsia), and she said the swab she did was negative and basically what that tells her is that I'm not at risk for preterm labor and she can guarantee that I'll be perfectly fine for the next two weeks. If it was as simple as a swab test idk why my OB didn't do that and save me from coming in 3 times a week getting 2 ultrasounds a week and getting steriod injections to help baby incase of delivery. She contradicted… many things my OB has told me and she made me feel as though its my fault I'm having contractions and I'm not doing all I can do to stop it. She discharged me from the hospital, my contractions are still 3 minutes apart, I'm dilated 1, and in a LOT of pain. She WILL not see me again, I refuse her care and I will deliver this baby myself before she touches me!

Saw Dr. Rashada in labor and delivery. She was amazing and helpful. She made me so comfortable as well as reasured me my baby was great. I wish she could be my Obgyn she's great!

I have been a patient of Dr. Rashada's for years and because I like her so much, I try to ignore her ignorant receptionist. However, after trying for over 3 weeks to make an appointment for an annual exam with no success, I am now forced to find another doctor. The receptionist is so unprofessional and acted bothered that I even called to make an appointment. She told me she'd call me back when she "got the doctor's schedule". A week passed- no phone call. I called back and was told that she still didn't have the doctor's schedule and would call me back. After the 3rd and final call and hearing the same "I still don't have the doctor's schedule", I realized that Dr. Rashada is obviously too busy to see her office patients. It should not take more than 3 weeks to try and make an appointment. Ridiculous!

I found Dr. Rashada in the middle of my first pregnancy after the dr I had been seeing made one too many mistakes. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Rashada because I began to have pre-term labor contractions. Dr. Rashada was always prompt in returning my phone calls even after hours. The dr I had been seeing instructed me to call 911 in such emergencies. Dr. Rashada helped me deliver my happy and healthy baby girl full-term and I truly believe her obstetric expertise, along with her good heart kept me from delivering prematurely. Dr. Rashada also delivered my second baby and her coaching and instruction helped me through a natural vaginal delivery without any pain meds (which had been my goal.) I feel thankful to have found this doctor, who works hard for her patients and considers your baby to be her baby.

Her office staff is horrible and so is she! She is nice when you visit her in the office or at the hospital because she knows she is getting that pay check. But God forbid if you need anything after you have given birth! She pretty much will tell you your screwed. She was not my actual dr. she was the dr on call at the time i was giving birth. So she delivered my twins. afterwards she asked me to come to her office and she would take care of my IUD (form of birth control). Her staff was very RUDE and UNINFORMED. Dr Rashada hung up on my husband (because she was busy). She didn't care about my needs or why we were even calling. We were unimportant. Now because of rashada and her office im now without insurance and can no longer get the IUD that I needed for birth control. I got pregnant off of the pill so I wanted something different. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE! I HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT HAVE USED THIS DR. AND NOTHING BUT BAD REPORTS FROM THEM AS WELL. I DO NOT SEE… HOW THEY ARE IN BUSINESS!

I met this md on an emergent basis...I actually belonged to another MD. Dr.Rashada was covering while that physician was out of town. I had been seen twice in L and D for small amounts of vaginal bleeding and released by the nursing staff...At any rate I felt the bleeding was more than they were documenting over the phone...The third time it happened I called Dr. Rashada istead of just showing up>> She had me come in to the office right away, saw me and walked me across the street as she held her office.. I was noted to be severly anemic, my pulse rate was high and my blood preesure was a little low... i was transfused and my baby was delivered by emergency surgery. what more could any one hope for ...She responded to my call and intervened and we had not even met before. I think me and my baby would have died if I had not met that Dr. that day
