Dr. Kim Puckett Scott, MD

I am switching from Dr Kim Scott after several years because she does not advocate for the patient and is insistent upon you doing what she wants instead of what you feel is best for your body or want to do. And if you don’t she sends threatening letters advising if you don’t do what she wants, even though it goes against what you want to do, she will ban you from her practice. Her nurses are in a terrible mood all the time and are really rude on the phone. Office girls were nice and curtious. She comes off as a super sweet lady but also runs you around from unnecessary procedure to procedure unlike any other doctor I have been to. It’s almost like this office is trying to get the most money out of a patients insurance. They forget though we are human beings and this is our bodies. Would not recommend.

Dr. Scott is great but however, her billing staff is not. Dr. Scott is covered under my insurance under one tax ID number but they billed my insurance company under a different tax ID number, my insurance company won't pay because that tax ID number is considered out of network. My insurance company even called their office and talked to billing, they say they can't change the tax ID they use to bill so now I'm stuck paying an $800 bill that my insurance would cover if her billing staff would bill them with the correct tax ID number. Not happy and will never go back.

Very nice and personable, took time to talk to me, she was not in a hurry, made me feel very comfortable.

If I had written a review after my new patient visit, mine would have been glowing, but after 3 visits itâ??s not anymore. On my 1st visit, Dr. Kim Scott listened better than my prior GYN and offered new options. The 2nd visit wasnâ??t impressive. The problems with her nurse began when she said she didnâ??t receive info. from my other doctorâ??s office, which I know was sent, and was unwilling to ask them to send it again. After 2 weeks, her nurse had it and scheduled me for a follow-up, which Dr. Scottâ??s office called and cancelled with less than a weekâ??s notice and rescheduled at their convenience, not mine. Dr. Scott was over 1hour late for this 3rd visit. Her nurse is the first nurse Iâ??ve met who doesnâ??t return phone calls the same day; generally, itâ??s 3 business days. Her nurse is unresponsive and evasive, rarely actually communicating. After repeatedly asking to speak directly to Dr. Scott, her nurse told me I would have to make (and pay) for another appointment.… Either Dr. Scott doesnâ??t know about her nurse or knows and doesnâ??t care or instructs her to be this way. Either way itâ??s not worth the nightmare of dealing with her office.

When I worked in retail I was referred to Dr. Scott by a customer. I admit I was a little skeptical at first because for many, many years I went to a male Gynecologist. But in truth, it was one of the BEST decisions I've ever made!! I find her to be caring, personable, and very tentative towards her patients. I think if she worked in an hospital environment she would be Head of Gynecology. And if I may add, she's my daughter's doctor too. My only concern is the staff at the check in are great; but some of the professionals I pass as I'm being taken to her exam room could smile and be a little more friendlier.

I had had a horrible experience with another OBGYN when I first moved to Nashville. When I found Dr. Scott it was like a GOD SEND. She was so kind, caring, and took so much time with me every time I came in to see her. She will take as much time as she needs to with a patient and explain things in a way that you will understand and make you feel comfortable-- she was never condescending like doctors I have had in the past. She is brilliant and very passionate about her job and patients and it is very evident when you are with her. I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Kim Scott was my doctor for the last two visits. She was great!! She made me feel very comfortable and at ease at a usually awkward appointment. She addressed the problems I had been having by offering medical solutions and running necessary tests. She seems to genuinely care about her patients well being. The woman who does the blood work is very sweet and funny. My only complaint is that the nursing staff seems kind of rude. I have also had some trouble getting in touch with the billing department in the past- I was trying to give them my new insurance information so I wouldn't have to pay the bill completely out of pocket. It took over 3 months to get the whole thing squared away. But overall, Dr. Scott is great doctor, definitely the best I have ever seen. I would recommend her to anyone.

I relocated and had my extensive history sent to this doctor from my old OB-GYN. But when I went in for my 2nd appointment, she had NO information in my files, about my extensive problems and various treatments I'd already tried. It was very disappointing that she couldn't review my information so as to know what was going on with me. Then she was angry because I didn't give her a full history while sitting naked in the room. It was the weirdest experience. I see why it's easy to get in to see her...no one wants to.

Dr. Scott is wonderful. Very caring and love her staff. She does robotic procedures and when she did mine, it was such a good experience with no complications. I love her and her practice. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a caring, compassionate physician.
