Dr. Kimberlee Mudge, MD

I love her. She took care of me in 2013 for breast cancer and she's taking care of me again. Kind, thorough and great personality. Can't say enough....

Excellent Surgeon!

I went to Dr. Mudge about a lump in the side of my right breast. I chose her because she had a good reputation and I preferred a female doctor for this. She determined that the lump was not cancerous, and phoned me personally with the results, which I thought was very nice. When antibiotics did not do enough to reduce the lump, she recommended surgical removal. All seemed to go well, but within 6 weeks after the surgery, my nipple became extremely inverted and the nipple and the area below it was numb to the touch. When I questioned her about this she got quite defensive and stated "I didn't cut there" and suggested I "push on it" to get the nipple to poke back out. I work in the health field and I know that pain can radiate from the source, so why not trauma? It's not like I was planning to file a malpractice suit or anything, I just wanted an viable answer and the problem corrected as much as possible. Disappointed by her cavalier attitude I never went back for any further follow up… visits. I eventually found another surgeon and he showed me on the ultrasound clearly showing scar tissue leading up from the cavity where the lump was straight up to the nipple. This surgeon says the scar tissue can be cut to release the nipple. I don't expect a miracle, but at least this doctor is offering a possible solution to a distressing byproduct of this surgery, which was otherwise successful. Sadly, after 2 years, the feeling has never returned to my breast, and I guess it never will.

Dr. Mudge missed my breast cancer not once but 2 other times during follow up visits. Thank goodness I sought the expertise of another surgeon who biopsied and found out that I indeed had breast cancer. Unfortunately for me it went undiagnosed for 6 months and had then spread to the lymph nodes. Trust your gut and get a second opinion if you feel something is not right.

This was my first time dealing with any kind of breast problems. Dr Mudge was very informative, explained everything and answered my question, I felt very confindent in her. She came very highly recommended and I would recommend her to anyone. I was impressed that she took the time to talk to me over the phone about my test results, she gave me peace of mind. I have two small children and I was glad that the news was good news, in time for mothers day. So thank you to Dr Mudge.

I have been going to Dr. Mudge for a reaccuring problem. The staff as well as Dr. Mudge have been nothing more than courteous. I was left in a room and forgotten. The staff quickly made another appointment and Dr. Mudge herself called to apologize. I've never experienced a Doctor actually making the call. It's usually the staff. I was impressed with Dr. Mudge taking the time out of her schedule to apologize.
