Dr. Kimberly Ann Buie, MD

We are first time parents and Dr Buie is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and great at alleviating our new parent fears. She is so easy to talk to and very open minded. We love her!

I don’t typically feel the need to leave a review of a physician, however... Dr. Kimberly Buie has been my children’s physician in excess of 10 years. I have watched her successfully engage with my children as they have developed from toddlers to teenagers. With regards to her “bedside manner”, perhaps the posters of the negative comments were dissatisfied with Dr Buie’s interactions with them rather than the children who they brought to seek a medical opinion. Additionally, this is a medical practice. The staff and billing are handled quite independent from the interactions with the physician and their nurse/assistant. A single physician in a medical practice has little independent control over these matters. To blame a physician personally for these interactions would be misguided. Unfortunately, the negative comments and ratings fail to differentiate this fact. The ineloquent rantings provided by the negative commenters only reveal their dissatisfaction with having to… take their children to the physician, the ineffectiveness of their insurance provider, and their entitled and sour dispositions. If you choose to seek a medical opinion from Dr Buie, you will find her to be quite knowledgeable, relatable to your children, and desirous of a positive medical outcome for your child. If you are of similar character of the negative commenters, you will probably find her to be quite tolerant of your childish attitude. Unfortunately, she is not your psychologist. She is there to treat your child!

Both my kids were patients of Dr. Buie. I have read the poor reviews here and this is my diagnosis: I concur.

It is not too surprising to me that Dr. Buie has a number of poor reviews. Her medical knowledge is about average. However, the biggest problem is her bedside manner. With more compassion, respect and humility incorporated into her patient care, she could really improve her professionalism. During our visit with her we expressed some concerns about our child's health and she immediately became impatient and short with us. Her tone was terse and she was eager to leave the room. My spouse and I are also health care professionals and we would never imagine treating a patient the way that she treated us. Based on the responses that she provided us, it was clear that she was not listening to our concerns because the answers did not fit the questions. She seemed stressed and unhappy during our visit. We all have difficult days, myself included, but it's important to leave those frustrations aside and strive to provide objective, high quality patient care. I think that if she were improve… her listening skills and bedside manner she has the potential to become a much better physician.

Dr. Buie is absolutely amazing. I'm not sure how others wouldn't like her. She is an extremely kind person who absolutely loves her patients. She greets us with a hug every time we walk in the door and is always very easy to work with. Making the transition to Dr. Buie was one of the best decisions we have made. Definitely recommend her to anyone with teenage daughters.

Dr. Kimberly Buie is a new doctor. I wish we had gotten one of the more experienced pediatricians. Would have saved us a lot of time and money.

Dr. Buie and her staff were very unfair to us. Our doctor's bill with Dr. Buie was one of SIX health bills we had been paying on - paying faithfully. We had $300 to go with Dr. Buie. She didn't think we were paying fast enough so for $300 - she sent our bill to collection. We had been with this practice for almost 15 years. This was the first time we had a bill sent to collection. A hateful place.
