Dr. Kimberly Mc Cann Kleiss, MD

Preventative care did not exist for me from Dr. Kleiss. I was her patient for over 15 years and she dismissed my symptoms. I was told by her to retrain my brain and that things were shifting around following a hysterectomy that she performed. Following my hysterectomy and years of abdominal discomfort, which turned into piercing abdominal pain and after searching online for years, my diagnosis came after I literally demanded an ultrasound from her. Upon two physical examinations, Dr. Kleiss missed my large ovarian cysts which were found immediately by an oncologist upon physical examination days after being missed by Dr. Kleiss, and they were surgically removed by the oncologist. Within weeks of being told by Dr. Kleiss that I was all good at my annual exam, and that she would see me next year, an oopherectomy was performed by an oncologist. My second surgery was performed and my ovaries were removed in addition to large ovarian cysts and endometriosis, which was found and diagnosed… for the first time. As a patient of Dr. Kleiss, I spent literal years living with piercing abdominal pain and I was dismissed. I’m thankful that cancer was not found and that I’m alive to share this review. Dr. Kleiss was fantastic delivering my baby, yet based on my experience she lacks medical knowledge for diagnosing women following their child-rearing years. My experience with Dr. Kleiss has been traumatic, do not trust her with your medical needs. You should never experience undiagnosed abdominal pain as I did. Please find a different doctor, one who is accountable for their actions, one who listens to understand and will provide a timely diagnosis without dismissing or gaslighting you, delaying your possible diagnosis.

I waited 7 months to see Dr. Kliess and I was severely disappointed. She was nice, byt that was it. I came to see her to treat endometriosis. Besides being absolutely clueless about my disease (and therefore dismissing my concerns entirely) her bedside manner was abhorrent. She admitted discomfort at viewing the female body and while she gave me a pelvic exam pinched her eyes closed like some adolenscent, not like a professional who values my care. I also desired a depo provera shot because I need it to suppress my menstruation to control my pain level which can force me into unconscioness ith its severity. It was not available on site and she sent me on a wild goosechase across the state that spanned 3 days. When I finally got my rx, the nursing staff kept leaving early but put me down for "not managing time well enough to schedule an appointment". I had to go into the office and threaten to self administer my own medication before someone decided to take the two minutes to give it… to me. Worst experience of my life.
