Dr.Klipstein was helpful treating my husbands depression. But the underlying conditions that are Deeply rooted in why he became depressed had not been addressed. Although he became stable in certain areas of his life he still displays volitile outbursts and cognitive distortions that deeply affect our family. She did not evaluate or ask for input from the immediate family to help With diagnosis or treatment. And as I know the mental health system is very private and protective of their patients having the family involved and questioned is key to help the doctor assess properly and treat accordingly. Dr.Klipstein did not ask for any input or meet with any family members and it has been detrimental to my children and my marriage. My husband has been the only one to tell his perspective which is it’s everyone else and not him. It’s unfortunate that something as simple as hearing the people who are closest to the individual with mental health needs is not considered part of her treatment.
