Dr. Kimberly S Lodewyk, PhD

After visiting with several psychologists, I decided to work with her based on how productive our introductory session was. She is a real pro and strikes the right balance between being compassionate and giving advice that could be hard to hear. It’s the latter that sets her apart - she can do that in a way that doesn’t feel negative or like an attack. In fact, she operates in a way that makes you feel as though she’s truly on your team. I was skeptical, if not cynical, about psychologists when we first started, so I was ready to “see through” anything that didn’t seem on the level. It’s been several months now and I’ve yet to experience that with her. I can’t think of one bad thing to say. The only thing that could throw someone off is that her emails can come across as “short”, but I’ve learned that she is simply being efficient. And of course that doesn’t matter. She has been so helpful that I could go on and on about it...

Dr. Lodewyk is the most amazing Doctor. She is kind, and considerate. She truly listens and does her best to come up with solutions. She is a very special Doctor. She takes you right on schedule. A truly awesome Doctor!

Dr. Lodewyk cares more about getting people in and out, about making money, than she does about the person him/herself. She is cold, unfriendly, and just generally mean. She is definitely knowledgeable about the field, but generally people who see a counselor also want some compassion. Good luck finding that with Dr. Lodewyk.
