Dr. Kimberly S Maroney, MD

I stopped going to Maroney after she screwed up on my prescriptions twice. But my husband has remained a patient. Just heard through the grapevine that she is closing but hasn't bothered to tell her patients. Moving to a group 40 miles away. Very unprofessional in so many ways.

If you can't take the truth; don't go to her - she is awesome and tells it like it is!!!

Dr. Maroney was very rude and questioned the diagnosis from my endocrinologist. I was a cash pay customer because I had no health insurance. Even though I paid an outlandish office visit charge, she repeatedly tried to refer me to an indigent clinicfor fir a monthly injection that my doctor in San Antonio had prescribed for my condition. She then questioned my cardiology diagnosis and sent me another bill for an ekg. She requested that I return for further testing. I was insulted and felt very brlittked by this woman... would not recommend her to my worst enemy!

Kimberley was rude, hateful and condescending. I will never step foot in her office again, she embarrased me and belittled me during the hardest time in my life medically speaking

Beware, I wish I had read the reviews before my first visit. The problem lies with the office manager, Holly and the Doctor. With limited visits with the Doctor I found that the Doctor does not like to answer questions from the patients. It is very difficult to engage in a conversation. There is something very strange going on here and it does not make for a good Doctor Patient relationship.

Receptionist Brenda was extremely rude. Tried to say my partner could not come to exam room with me, because I was new pt. totally against the law! I explained that to her and she still argued with me. Dr maroney tried to alleviate the situation by saying "oh don't worry about it". That was unprofessional. The doctor herself seemed pleasant and knowledgable. The phlebotomist was kind and courteous. However, this office does not do wellness exams, they charged me $140 for office visit even though I asked for a wellness exam from the start. Avoid this place. Save your money. That's all they seemed to care about

My main complaint is with the front desk staff. They are curt and rude. They chastise patients for not having all the information they would like, even when you didn't know what they needed or you gave them what the insurance company provided. Once they seemed to have forgotten me. The doctor was not in (I didn't know that when I made the appointment) so I was seeing the PA. He kept taking other patients over me, including walk-ins (I think that is what I was told) for employment tests. We have few choices unless we go to Corpus and Dr. Maroney seems good although there are times when it seems like she could have handled something over the phone or through the patient messaging system but required an office visit to be able to charge.

After several years I surrender Maroney has lost my confidence as a medical professional, poor attitude, inaccurate record keeping, more interested in cosmetic enhancements than healing. Sent me to three specialists that was unnecessary and never followed up. This lady is scary.

Heartless!!!! Do not use her!!
