Dr. Kimberly Lynn Smith, MD

Dr Phillips is a very caring person and doctor. She is very willing to listen to my medical complaints and has always suggested the proper healing approach.

Not thorough. Not infant-friendly. Doesn’t have a warm bedside manner. Self absorbed. Assistant always looks miserable. She has changed in the last year and a half or so. She used to take her time, and be more thorough. Don’t stay with her if you feel she’s not taking the time to address your health.

Dr. Smith is rude and uncaring. She always spends a limited amount of time with her patients and fails to do even the slightest medical exam when you come in with an illness. For example, I saw Dr. Smith for a horrible cold and upper respiratory illness. She failed to even listen to my lungs with a stethoscope to determine if my cough had moved into my lungs. She spent a total of five minutes in the room with me and failed to even ask me how I was handling postpartum, given the recent birth of my first child. She then tried to prescribe me medication that would be harmful to my child given my decision to breastfeed. I had to ask, "is that safe given I am breastfeeding?" She responded with, "Oh, well no its not." Then she proceeded to have to check her phone to determine a suitable substitute. I also asked if I should be worried about giving my infant Benadryl for her coughing. She rudely replied, "I am not her doctor, you should contact her doctor. I cannot give medical… advice to anyone that is not a patient." I understand her assertion to not provide advice, but to preface this, when I was pregnant she asked why I was not bringing my infant to her. I told her that my husband and I had decided to bring her to a pediatrician, because of the office environment and she rudely replied that she was a "family" doctor. She has horrible bedside manner and I would never bring a child to her, and needless to say I will be seeking another PCP. I advise you to steer clear of Dr. Smith, because she is more concerned about making money then actually caring about her patients well being. She also routinely leaves you waiting in the lobby and exam rooms, and can be heard having personal conversations with the staff in the hallway, while you patiently wait for her to make her entrance.
