Dr. Kimberly Lynn Pickett, MD

I have an appointment with her in the morning and was notified today that she was no longer there. No explanation given. Staff offered to let me see Dr Tapley instead, who shares her practice. CHI Memorial has problems from the top, down. Nothing is reliable with all the brass manipulation except slow destruction and loss of patients and PATIENCE.

I'm an Army Veteran, and receive my healthcare at the VA Chattanooga Community Based Outpatient Clinic. My former PCP retired, and I was assigned to Dr. Kimberly Pickett, who is their new Woman's Wellness PCP. I have had the worst time with getting her to actually put in the orders for my prescriptions - most of which I need to take daily. Emails to her via her RN have very little effect, and it's not the nurse that's falling down on the job. I had an in-person appointment with Dr. Pickett, who, right during the appointment, was on the computer, supposedly ordering my lapsed meds, and a neurology referral. It's been 30 days since that appointment, and 4 emails I've sent to her via her nurse, and I still haven't received one crucial med, and no call to schedule the neuro appointment. Another of my caregivers at the clinic checked to see if the neuro referral and med had been ordered. No. Nothing. This is after I'd sent emails to her regarding two other meds that I'd not received, then… finally did. But she hadn't ordered them like she said she was doing during my appointment. It's like pulling teeth with this woman. Also, during my appointment, which was for an annual checkup, she didn't do anything but listen to my heart and lungs. No knee jerk and elbow reflexes, no looking in my ears, nose, and throat. No palpating my abdomen to check for masses and the size of the liver. From these reviews it looks like the Chattanooga VA Clinic has hired a lemon of a physician for the female Veterans. I'll be speaking with the Medical Director about this.

I went for a yearly physical where they ask you to bend and twist. Kimberly asked if I had anything else going on. I told her I was a weight lifter and pulled a muscle so don’t laugh at my flexibility. She said everything was good and send me on my way. Three months later I get a bill from Quadmed. Turns out she charged me for an office visit For a pulled muscle. I diagnosed myself and didn’t get a prescription for any meds. I will not be back to her.

Dr Picket did not follow through either time of my visit.

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Dr. Pickett. She dismissed my concerns about memory loss and early onset Alzheimers and told me to "just live your life and don't worry" and to get tested for ADD instead. She never followed up with any information about where to go for ADD testing. When I asked her nurse she also dismissed me saying I needed to make another appointment to discuss that. Dr. Pickett also promised me a coupon for Flonase that she never came back to give me. It was a complete waste of time going to see her. She shows no concern or compassion. I left there feeling worse than when I went in.

My first visit to Dr. Pickett, who is no longer a student, was frustrating at best. I had to wait 50 min past my appt time. I was told it was due to her running behind. I expected to have blood drawn for a complete blood workup, but it wasn't ordered. I was told by her that my prescription would be sent to my pharmacy, but when I went to pick it up hours later, it had not been received. I called as soon as the office opened the next morning and was told I had to leave a message and I'd get a callback that day. Now it is days later and I am still waiting for the callback and my Rx still hasn't been sent to my pharmacy. Obviously, my care is not a priority. I will be finding another doctor.
