Dr. Kimberly Jo Schelb, MD

I was new to Fort Wayne and selected a doctor who could fit me in sooner than a two months out because I would need ongoing medical care for chronic illnesses. I scheduled at the first place I could get into and got an appt with Dr. Schelb. Unfortunately, I didn't realize Family Med Ctr is a TEACHING clinic; the doctors are residents. To make this review as brief as possible, I'll spare the details of how the management and treatment for my health conditions was disappointing and frustrating. I'm sure there are many good doctors there, but after a year in Dr. Schelb's care, I decided the complexity of my health issues was more than Dr. Schelb was equipped for as a first year. I have transferred to a veteran doctor and feel much more confident in my level of care. If you're looking to see a doctor for a cold or a physical or a wart, you'll be in great hands here. The doctors are good, including Dr. Schelb, and the staff, from billing to nurses, is great. However, if you have chronic or… complex health issues, I'd suggest continuing your search elsewhere.
