Kim Smallwood, APRN-CNP, practices family medicine and has been a health care professional in the Tulsa area since 2008. “Preventive care is my passion,” she says. “While working as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit for 10 years, I cared for many patients with advanced disease processes that may have been avoidable if they had received proper preventive care. This is what led me to focus on family medicine.” “I enjoy working with patients of all ages,” she continues. “Building a trustworthy, personal relationship with each one aids in facilitating a healthier future for them. I take the time to learn each patient's individual story and need so that I can provide the best individualized care possible. This allows them to continue on with their life's story while being as healthy as possible.” Kim’s personal interests include traveling and spending time with her family.
