Dr. Kimberly Pauline Vanscriver, MD

Dr. Van Scriver performed a full hysterectomy on me. She did an excellent job talking to me before the operation and helped me understand all my options. I've recovered well and felt 100% confident the operation would go well with her. She takes time to answer all your questions and the office staff are very caring, especially when I had some post-op complications. I live 1.5 hours away and she was definitely worth the drive. I highly recommend her to anyone thinking about surgery.

Dr. Van Scriver delivered my daughter, Abbie, 12 years ago. She was very comforting as I had experienced a very traumatic birth with my fist child who is now 16. She realized that even at 30, the fact that my first daughter and I almost died during birth, and treated me as a high-risk patient. We had some scary ultrasounds indicating potential birth defects. She walked with me through the entire pregnancy, as I was so scared that something could have been wrong with Abbie. She strongly supported me when I told her that I did not want an amnio, as I knew that I could potentially miscarry as a result. So...we did lots of extra ultrasounds, monitoring, in-office counseling (literally I felt like she counseled me). I had a repeat C-section and my daughter was born with no genetic issues. She is one of the kindest, gentlest, knowledgeable and comforting doctors I have ever known. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an OBGYN. Oh, her office staff, from the front… office staff to the nurses were also wonderful. I'm past the point of having any more children, but if I ever did, I would definitely use Dr. Van Scriver again if we still lived in Florida!

I can not say enough good words about Dr. Kim Vanscriver. She is on of the most caring doctors I've ever met. She took me in at 34 weeks when another office discharged me.

I am newly pregnant and was refered to Dr. VanScriver by my fertility doctor and by a friend. Please be aware that you only have a 50% chance of being delivered by an MD. They use a rotating schedule with two midwives and one other doctor in the practice. So, depending on when you deliver, you may or may not deliver with a doctor. While midwives are great, they CANNOT perform any emergency procedures such as a C-section. This is not communicated to me until the end of my first appointment. When I expressed my concern I was basically laughed at by the nurse Jaime and told that the only way I could be guaranteed one of the doctor's deliver me was to agree to be induced on the doctors scheduled delivery week!!! I have since found another doctor, but still receieved a bill from Dr. VanScriver. I have called the office manager three times to try and distpute this charge with out any return phone call. Also, please note that the cost is the same reguardless of who delivers you, MD or… midwife. The fact that they do not provide this information up front is just plain wrong! Good luck with whomever you choose. My advice is to go elsewhere!!

Dr Vanscriver was wonderful during my twin delivery. I am positive I would have ended up with a unnecessary c-section if I had gone to any other OB/GYN in Jacksonville.

Great doctor, but office wait for general gynecologist appointments can be lengthy. Nurse practitioners are great here too
