Performed a cyscoscopy several years ago on me using an instrument that was too large. While I was screaming in pain he acted as if he couldn't understand why. He eventually switch to a smaller instrument but the damage was already done. I walked in healthy and walked out crying leaning on my husband bent over in pain. I could not urinate with out feeling like a thousand daggers had been cut into me. I had to have pain medication called in. I had none of these issues before hand. Fast forward to a few years later and I go to another urologist who has better technique and uses the right equipment for the same procedure and I have no issues or pain like I did after Bodi performed his. Stay far, far away.

This is a little late in coming but it's a red flag out there for men who are being recommended for a prostatectomy. I had been having my prostate monitored for several years by Dr. Bodi. After a small rise in my PSA ( approx. 2.6), he elected to do an Ultra sound and then from there a prostate biopsy. He had me on antibiotics for a week before and then performed a 6 core biopsy in his office. Over a week later I called back and they told me 2 of the 6 cores had a Gleason score of 6 and to come in and see him. He recommended a prostatectomy. At the time I was 59. I immediately scheduled an appointment with Sloan Kettering. The Dr. there requested my slides of the biopsy and although there were some suspect cells they could not be classified on the Gleason scale and were not "cancerous". I had another biopsy done at Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, this time a 12 core biopsy - which is the way it should have been done - and it was confirmed - I did not have cancer and did not… require a prostatectomy. Bodi never recommended me for a second opinion, like any physician should with so much at stake for the patient. Obviously I am seeing another urologist. I have been monitored for over 3 years now and am cancer free. Lessons Learned. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION. I WOULD HAVE LOST MY PROSTATE IF I DIDN'T.

Excellent doctor, entire practice goes above and beyond

You ill not find another more sincere honest and caring doctor in this Huntington NY area. Have been with him for many years and his giagnosis and treatment is right on. Find myself lucky to have found him so early in my life ....do the same without any second thoughts he is the BEST!

Dr Bodi comes from a long line of medical practitioners. He combines up to date medical practice with individualized, old fashioned care and personalized attention. On two occasions I needed to reach him in an emergency and he responded within minutes. One was at 7:30 pm on a Friday night when he told me to come on over to his office. I've been around the medical field for over 40 years and never encountered such an attentive, caring , smart and funny physician. He exudes competence and calm and allayed my fears.

For a new patient experience, it was indeed a comforting all around, number "10" ...Dr. Bodi is a class act.......

Thorough. Dr. Bodi is competent and follows through on any indication of a problem. His approach can be gruff but he tempers that with a sense of humor. Bottom line is he saved me from serious complications of a bladder tumor that he suspected by insisting on tests that indicated it was there allowing for removal in its early stages.

When I asked why I had blood in urine for over 3 months~the doctor told me that no one is perfect.

first visit....waited almost an hour and he spoke to me for 5 minutes and never even examined me and then ordered tests. Sent a letter with results, which I hope would not happen if there was actually something wrong with you ! People I know say he isn a good doctor, but the wait in his office is totally unacceptable. I am a professional too and missed 3 hours work to and from etc for a 5 minute visit.

Very good bedside manner. Explains issues very clearly. Had good experience when he conducted a bladder cancer operation on me. I recommend him.
