Dr. Kip Edward Queenan, MD

Dr. Queenan has been a lifesaver on many occasions over the past 15+ years. I have to say that I’ve put him to the test by not always being the easiest patient but he stuck it out with me and got me what I needed. He is a caring person and it is hard to find a doctor who is willing to put up with some of the challenges a psychiatrist faces each day. . He works hard and I feel luck to have him in my corner

Love Dr Queenan. Knowledgeable understanding and kind. Only complaint is that the receptionist is rude, barely looks at you, never smiles. Going to a psych doc is hard, a little warmth would make it easier for someone new.

I have been a patient for several years and fully trust him with my healthcare. I feel heard, validated, never rushed or dismissed. Very knowledable. I am grateful for his devotion to his profession and my health. I feel he treats me as a whole person. Love and appreciate his staff too.

Dr. Queenan saved my life. I was in a terrible place from treatment by other practitioners, and in very short order, Dr. Queenan diagnosed and medicated my disease. Within a couple of weeks I could see a difference, and within a month, I was back on firm footing. I would give him a rating of 10 if I could! He is accommodating with my insurance, his staff is fantastic, and he is readily available if I need to talk to him on the phone. I will never go to another psychiatrist.

I just had a very unpleasant experience with Dr. Queenan and his staff member which led me to write this review. I have been a patient of Dr. Queenan's for a few months. Due to an unforeseen issue at work which was likely to prevent me from making my appointment on time - I called the office to inquire about my options. The discussion started with the secretary who was cordial for a second - but only for that. When I explained my situation and asked her assistance in finding a solution she responded rudely and was not very customer oriented - to say the least! I asked her to have the Dr. call me back - he did. He was angry and rude (not surprising and quite representative of his character) from the start - as if standing up for his rude employee who already set the tone. He asked me to tell 'my side' of the story - lets just say he wasn't really listening. When I informed him of my problem, he immediately told me the dry facts - who asked you? I was simply a customer asking for… help and trying to understand if there were other options worth discovering. In conclusion - I never felt he was a very likable or caring person - this occurrence was just the straw on the camel's back.

After many years and multiple psychiatrists treating my daughter and myself for psychiatric problems ( myself depression) I want to share that Dr Queenan is the most kind doctor in this field that I have come across. He spends time to listen, teach, and really cares. He has worked with me to find the right combination of meds and encourages me to find outside support for the family issues that effect my struggle. A breath of fresh air from the psychiatrists who only spend enough time to dispense medications. His sweet receptionist is also wonderful.
